Firecracker Granny Square And Table Runner Crochet Pattern Posh Pooch Designs

 Firecracker Granny Square
And Table Runner Crochet Pattern
By Sara Sach of Posh Pooch Designs

The Firecracker Square is a 6 inch Granny or Afghan Square.
It has "starburst' in the center stitched with Front Post Double
Crochet Stitches to make it stand out.
It reminded me of a Firecracker or Fire works that
have been fired into the Sky. I think it's fun and Perfect
project For the new Year.

I Chose to use up Medium (4) Acrylic Yarns from
My yarn stash. Most of them are either I Love This yarn
Sparkle / Metallic or Caron Party yarns. Although, it is not
necessary for you to use Sparkle yarns. Any med (4) yarn
 will work just fine.

If you decide to make the Table Runner I designed,
you will need 8 squares, or add them in 2 square increments,
if a longer Table Runner is needed. The Design is quite easy,
as it is laid out in a staggering step pattern.

Repeat from * to * across to the next corner, tie off, weave in the ends.

You will need 4 sets of 2 Squares joined together.
Place the Squares staggering them in a stair step pattern.
Repeating how we joined the 2 squares.

Trim:
Join yarn of choice, to the 1st corner, sc, ch1, sc in the corner,
Sc in each dc, and 1 sc in each ch1 sp, working around the table Runner,
Place sc, ch1, sc in each of the outside corners.

Join back to the 1st sc, tie off, and weave in your ends.

To Block The Table Runner:
Lay it out on a Flat Surface, on a towel.
Sprints with water, just enough to make it damp.
Shape the corners as needed, and let it dry.
