The Football headband / Earwarmer Crochet Pattern

 was written about 12 years ago.

I saw some of my Neighbor kids coming home from

 football practice and  decided it was time update the pattern.

 We added lots of pics and a brand new video.

The Headband is very easy and quick to stitch up. 

Make it with your favorite team and sports team colors

 and cheer on your team. So, Moms and dads stay warm

 while watching your kids play football.

It measures about 3 inches wide and 19 inches ling. 

Remember it is very stretchy and will fit up to a

 24 inch head. And it's super easy to adjust to any 

head size needed.

Skill: Easy

 

Materials:

Yarn - Worsted Weight (4) Brown C1- 1 oz. 

            Small amount of white C2 and colors for Pom pom

Hook - H / 5.00 MM

Yarn Needle

 

Stitches:

Chain (ch)

Single crochet (sc)

Back Loops Only (blo)

Change to (chgto)

 

Size: 3 X 19 inches, Adult to Youth( 22 - 24 inch head)

           - Very Stretchy -Easy to adjust

3 Rows = 1 inch

 

Pattern Notes:

Sc at ends of rows do not count as a stitch, it is a turning chain.

Pattern: 

 

R: 1 – With C1, Ch 11, 1 sc in the 2^nd ch from the hook, 1 sc each ch across,

 Ch 1, turn (10sc)

R: 2 – Working in the BLO, 1 sc in each sc across, ch1 turn (10sc)

R: 3 – Repeat R: 2

R: 4 - R: 24 -Continue to  Repeat R: 2

R: 25 - Chgto C2, Repeat R: 2

 

R:  26 - Repeat R: 2

 

R: 27 - Chgto C1, Repeat R: 2

 

R: 28 - R: 44  - Repeat R: 2

 

R: 45 - Chgto C2, Repeat R: 2

R:  46 - Repeat R: 2

 

R: 47 - Chgto C1, Repeat R: 2

 

R: 48 - R: 72 - Repeat R: 2

Stitch on the Football Stitches in the center portion of the headband, 

with needle and White yarn.

 

Place the ends of the headband together and sc them together, tie off,

 weave in your ends.

Add Poms in your teams colors.
