Materials:
Crochet Hook – N / 9.00 mm
Yarn – Acrylic med (4) I Love This yarn / Hobby Lobby /Brown (2 oz.)
            (Hot pad is stitched holding 2 strands of yarn together)
           Small Amount of White
Yarn Needle

Stitched:
Chain (ch)
Slip Stitch (slst)
Single Crochet (sc0
Half Double Crochet (hdc)
Double Crochet (dc)
 
Size: 6 X 9 inches
 
Notes:
Hot pad is stitched holding 2 strands together
 
Pattern:

R: 1 - Ch 5, join in a circle, ch3, 9 dc, join, ch3
(10dc)


R: 2 - 1 dc in the same st as ch3, 2 dc in each st around, join, ch 3
(20dc)


 
R: 3 - 1 dc in the same st as ch3, 2 dc in each st around. join ch1
(40 dc)


R: 4 - 1 slst in the next 3 st, 
*1 hdc in the next 2 sts, 1 dc in the next 2 sts,
3dc in the next st, 1 dc in the next 2 sts, 1 hdc in the next 2 sts*



 1 sl st in the next 11 sts, 
Repeat From * to *
slst in the last sts, join to the 1st slst, ch1
 (22 slst, 8 hdc, 14 dc = 44 sts)



R: 5 – Sc in each st till you reach the 3 dc in the same st, sc, ch1,
 sc in the middle dc,
Sc in each st till you reach the next 3dc in the same st, , sc, ch1, 
sc in the middle dc,
Sc in the remaining sts, join to the sc,
 tie off and weave in your ends.
 (46 sc, 2 ch1)



With 2 strands of white yarn threaded on your needle,
st the stitches on the football. Long stitches down the center,
then short stitches back up. Tie off and weave in your stitches.
