This Pattern can be a basket or a bag

The Pattern includes 2 great sizes, a 8 inch and a 10 inch basket.
Use one for a project basket and one for a Shopping bag.

You can make both baskets with just 1 Caron Chunky cake.

The Baskets stitch up quickly. I made both in an evening.

And the Caron Chunky Cake yarn is really soft, 
and still holds it's shape.

Chunky Basket Free Crochet Pattern

The Chunky Little Basket is made with
Red Heart Soft Essentials Yarn Cream, teal, orchid and pink.

This Chunky Little Basket is made with
Red Heart Soft Essentials Yarn in Greyhound and Orchid.
And  a cute little Bunny Button on the Flower.

This yarn is perfect, because it is a Chunk (5) and 
holds the shape of the basket.

The Basket measures  about 8 inches across..

The basket portion is about 6 inches high.

There is nothing cuter then a fun 

Easter basket with a Bunny inside.

The Bunny I made last year From This Pattern

Spring Bunnies

I used Worsted Weight yarn and  H hook,

 so my bunny is a little bit bigger then hers.

The pattern is really easy to Follow.

And She Fits perfectly in my Chunky Basket.

This Basket is made From Tweed Stripes.

Materials -

Crochet hook - K/ 6.50 MM

Yarn - 1 skein - Bulky (5)144 yards -3 oz.Red Heart Soft Essentials 

Yarn needle

Decorative Button of Choice

Stitches -

Chain (ch)

Single Crochet ( sc)

Slip Stitch (slst)

Double Crochet (dc)

Front Post Double Crochet ( fpdc)

Size - 6 X 8 inches, not including the handle.

Note - 
Ch3 counts as a dc
Join Rounds With a Slst to the ch3
Color Changes are not indicated in the Pattern
When Changing colors Ch3 after the color change

Pattern:
R: 1 - Ch 5,join in a circle, Ch 3

9 dc in the ch5 circle,  join, ch3 (10dc)

R : 2 - 1 dc in the same st as ch3, 2 dc in each st around,

join, ch 3 (20dc)

R : 3 - 1 dc in the same st as ch3, *2 dc in the next st*

Repeat From * to * around, join, ch 3 (40dc)

R : 4 - Working in the back loops only of R : 3,

1 dc in each dc around, join, ch 3 (40dc)

R : 5 - 1dc in the next dc, *2 fpdc in the next 2 dc,

1 dc in the next 2 dc*, Repeat From * to * around, join, ch 3

(20 fpdc, 20dc = 40 stitches)

R : 6 - Repeat R : 5

R : 7 - 1 fpdc in the next dc, *1 dc in the next 2 dc,

2 fpdc in the next 2 dc* *, Repeat From * to * around, join, ch 3

(20 fpdc, 20dc = 40 stitches)

R : 8 - Repeat R : 7

R : 9 - 1 sc in each dc around, join, (40sc)

R : 10 - Repeat R : 9

Handle - Ch 30, turn, 1 sc in each ch, join to next sc with a sl st,

Turn, ch1, slst in each sc , then tie off leaving a 10 inch tail.

 Use that yarn tail to sew handle end in place.

This Chunky Basket is the perfect size for Dog Treats, 

jellybeans or a cute plush Easter Animal.

I am going to use these as a decorations

 in my Front hall way.
