We have just retested and Updated This Snowman hat.
It now has 3 sizes included.
And added lots of new pictures.

Just change the colors to what ever colors you want,
Or This hat pattern could be used

 for any sports team or school colors, as well.

I really love how it came out.

The Pattern  has 3 sizes included.

Child: 16-17 inches (S), Youth: 18-20 inches (M), 

Adult: 21-22 inches (L)

 It is snowing Today,
I wish I had errands that needed 
doing so I can wear my new hat.
I am going to wear it anyway!

Colorado Snowman Hat Crochet Pattern

Skill: Easy to moderate

Materials:

Hook - H / 5.00 MM

Yarn -  Worsted Weight (4) I used Red Heart Super Saver

3 oz. Blue – C1,

3 oz. White - C2

2 oz. Red – C3

3 oz.  Yellow – C4

Orange and Black – Small Amount

Yarn Needle

Stitches:

Chain (ch)

Single Crochet (sc)

Slip Stitch (sl st)

Double Crochet (dc)

Front Post Double Crochet (fpdc)

Change (chg)

Size: Child: 16-17 inches (S)

         Youth: 18-20 inches (M)

         Adult: 21-22 inches (L)

Notes:

Rounds are joined with a sl st.

Ch2 does not count as a stitch

Pattern:

Child: 16 - 17 Inch Head

R: 1 - With C5, ch5, Join in a circle, 
ch 3, 10 dc in the circle.

 Join with a slst (10dc)

R: 2 - ch 2, 2 dc in each dc, join (20dc)

R: 3 - ch 2, *2 dc in the first st, 1 dc in the next dc*

Repeat From * to * around, join (30dc)

R: 4 - ch 2, *2 dc in the first st, 1 dc in each of the next 2 dcs*

Repeat From * to * around, join (40dc)

R: 5 - Chg to C2 leaving C1 still attached,
1 dc in each dc, join. (40dc)

R: 6 - ch 2, 1 dc in each dc around, join (40dc)

R: 7 - Chg to C1, Repeat R: 6

R: 8 – Repeat R: 6, tie off C2

R: 9 – Chg to C2, Repeat R: 6

R: 10 – R: 11 - Repeat R: 6

R: 12 – ch2, *1 dc in the 1^st dc, fpdc in the next dc*

Repeat From * to * around, join, (20dc + 20 fpdc = 40 sts)

 tie off and weave in your ends.

Youth: 19 - 20 Inch Head

R: 1 -  With C5, ch5, Join in a circle, 

ch 3, 10 dc in the circle.

 Join with a slst (10dc)

R: 2 - ch 2, 2 dc in each dc, join (20dc)

R: 3 - ch 2, *2 dc in the first st, 1 dc in the next dc*

R: 8 – Change to C1, Repeat R: 6

R: 14 – ch2, *1 dc in the 1^st dc, fpdc in the next dc*

Repeat From * to * around, join, (25dc + 25 fpdc = 50 sts)

 tie off and weave in your ends.

 Adult: 21-22 Inch Head

R: 1 - With C5, ch5, Join in a circle, 

ch 3, 10 dc in the circle.

 Join with a slst (10dc)

R: 2 - ch 2, 2 dc in each dc, join (20dc)

R: 3 - ch 2, *2 dc in the first st, 1 dc in the next dc*

R: 4 - ch 2, *2 dc in the first st, 1 dc in each of the next 2 dcs*

Repeat From * to * around, join (40dc)

R: 5: ch 2, *2 dc in the first st, 1 dc in each of the next 3 dcs*

Repeat From * to * around, join (50dc)
R: 6: ch 2, *2 dc in the first st, 1 dc in each of the next 4 dcs*

Repeat From * to * 10 times, join (60dc)
R: 7 –Chg to C2, ch 2, 1 dc in each dc around, join (60dc)
R: 8 – I dc in each dc, join (60dc)

R: 9 – Chg to C1, Repeat R: 8

R: 10 – Repeat R: 8

R: 11 – Chg to C2, Repeat R: 8

R: 12 – R: 14 – Repeat R: 8

R: 15 – ch2, *1 dc in the 1^st dc, fpdc in the next dc*

Repeat From * to * around, join, (30dc + 30 fpdc = 60 sts)

tie off and weave in your ends.

Nose:
With Orange yarn ch 7, slst in the 2^nd ch from the hook.

1 sl st in the next st, 1 sc in the next 4 chs,

Turn working down the opposite side of the ch,

1 sc in the next 4 chs, 1 sl st in the last 2 chs, join with a slst.

Leave a 16 inch tail of yarn to sew on front of Snowman hat.

Eyes: 
Make 2With Black yarn, ch 3, 6 sc in the 2^nd ch from the hook, join in a circle.

Leave a 12 inch tail of yarn to sew on front of hat.

Mouth:

With Black yarn, and yarn needle, sew on the smile using long stitches.

Stitch a little loose so it doesn’t snag or pucker when it is worn.

Colorado appliqué
With C4, Ch 5, 9 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, join with a sl st,

(10hdc)

Change to C5, ch 3, 1 sc in the same st, 2 sc in next 7 sc tie off.

Weave in your ends.

Place on front of hat and sew into place with matching yarn.

Pom Pom

With all four colors of yarn, wrap around your four

 middle fingers about 25 to 30 times,

 With a white 12 inch piece of yarn, slide it through

 the bundle of yarn and tie tightly.

Cut the pompom to even it up.

And attach to the top of the hat with the two

 long strands of white yarn.

So whether you are making a Colorado Snowman or just a fun Snowman,
