I Wanted To design a new St. Patrick's Day Coaster,
 And I wanted it a little bigger to fit large mugs.
 I also wanted it a little bit lacy.
I think The New Four Leaf Clover Crochet Coaster Pattern
 is exactly what I imagined in my head.

 It measures about 5.5 X 5.5 inches which is a nice size.

I designed it using several shades of green and 

several shades of white yarns.

I really love all the different looks of all of them.

All The Yarns are Cotton medium (4) weight yarns.

They are a mix of I Love This Cotton From Hobby Lobby,

 premier Cotton and peaches And Cream Cotton yarns.

If you are using These Coasters just to project the table, 

or for decorations they can be stitched up in Acrylic yarns.

Materials:
Crochet hook – H / 5.00 MM
Yarn - Med (4) Cotton Small Amount of Green And White 

                         (I Love This Cotton/ Hobby Lobby)
Yarn Needle
 
Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Slip Stitch (slst)
Single Crochet (sc)
Double Crochet (dc)
Change to (chgto)
V Stitch ( V st)  – dc, ch1, dc in the same st
Space (sp)
Skip (sk)
 
Size: 5.5 X 5.5 Inches
 
Notes:
Ch1 Does not count as a st
Ch3 Counts as dc
 
Pattern:

R: 1 – With Green yarn, Ch 5, join in a circle, ch 6 (counts as dc, ch3)
*dc, ch3 in the circle*
Repeat From * to * 2 more times, join to the ch3 with a slst, ch1
(4 sets of dc, ch3)
 

R: 2 – *sc, 4 dc, sc in the next ch3 sp*
Repeat From * to * 3 more times, join to the 1^st sc with a sl, ch 1
(4 sets of sc, 4dc, sc)

R: 3 - *sc in the next sc, dc in the next dc, 2 dc in the next 2 dc,
Dc in the next dc, sc in the next sc*
Repeat From * to * 3 More times, join to the 1^st sc with a slst,
(4 sets of sc, 6 dc, sc)
 

R: 4 – Chgto to White yarn, ch1, *dc going through the dc from R: 1,
Ch1, dc again going through the dc Of R: 1, ch 3,
2 sc between the 3^rd and 4^th dc of the next clover petal, ch 3*
Repeat From * to * 3 More times, join to the 1^st dc, slst in the ch 1 sp, Ch 4
(4 sets of dc, ch1, dc, ch 3, 2sc, ch 3)
 

R: 5 – 1 dc in the same ch2 sp, ch 2, Vst in the Ch3 sp, ch2,

V st between the next 2 sc, ch2, Vst in the ch 3 sp, ch 2

 *Vst in the ch 1 sp, ch 2, Vst in the Ch3 sp, ch2,
V st between the next 2 sc, ch2, Vst in the ch 3 sp, ch 2*
Repeat From * to * 2 More Times, join to the ch3, and ch1
 ( 16 V sts)

R: 6 – Sc in the next ch1 sp, sc in the next dc,
*sc in the next ch2 sp, sc in the next dc, sc in the next ch1 sp, sc in the dc,*
Continue to repeat from * to * Around Coaster, join to the 1^st sc.

R: 7 – Chgto to Green yarn, ch1 *slst in the next sc*
Repeat from * to * around coaster, join to 1^st slst with a slst,
 tie off and weave in your ends.

If your Coaster is not laying round enough 

you can block it for a nice crisp circle.

Remember Blocking is only a temporary fix. 

Once you wash it you will need to re-block it.

This Leprechaun is Lucky and Silly.

 He is very fun to make and use.

 You can make him with Acrylic or Cotton Cotton yarn,

Materials:

Crochet Hook – H / 5.00 MM

Yarn – Worsted Weight (4) or Cotton yarn
             White, Orange, Green, Black, yellow

Yarn Needle

Stitches:

Chain (ch)

Single Crochet (sc)

Double Crochet (dc)

Skip (sk)

Space (sp)

Change To (chgto)

Size: 4.5 X 5 inches

Notes:

Ch 3 counts as dc

Ch1 does not cunt as st

R: 1 – Face - With White yarn, Ch 5, join in a circle, ch3, 9 dc, join, ch 3. (10 dc)

R: 2 – 1 dc in the same st as the ch3, 2 dc in each dc, join, ch 3. (20 dc)

R: 3 - 1 dc in the same st as the ch3, 2 dc in each dc, join. (40 dc)

R: 4 – Hat - Chgto green yarn, 1 sc in the next 9 sts, turn, ch 1. (9 sc)

R: 5 – 1 sc in each sc, turn, ch1. (9sc)

R: 6 – slst in the 1st 2 sc, 1 sc in the next 5 sc, turn (5 sc)

R: 7 – 1 sc in each sc, tie off, weave in ends. (5sc)

R: 8 – Beard - Join Orange yarn to the last st of the green hat on the left side,

ch1 in that st,

*Sk the next st, ch1, 2 dc in the next st, ch1*

Repeat From * to * around the face,

 join to the last st of the hat on the right side, tie off weave in the ends.

Hat band –

With Black yarn stitch a line across between R: 5 and R: 6.

With Yellow yarn stitch a square.

Stitch on the Face:

Stitch eyes, nose and mouth on using black thread and needle.

Bow- With Green yarn, using 2 strands of yarn, tie a bow at the chin.

This Cute Leprechaun is the perfect addition to your

Jar – 16 oz. Canning Jar

Stitches:

Chain (ch)

Slip Stitch (slst)

Single Crochet (sc)

Double Crochet (dc)

Change To (chgto)

Size: fits a 16 oz. Canning jar (5 inches tall)

Notes:

Rounds are joined with a Slip Stitch

Ch 3 after the color change

Ch 3 Counts as a Double crochet

When changing colors, ch3 after the color change.

Pattern:

Rainbow – R: 1 – R: 11 - All Worked with the Rainbow yarn

Leprechaun Hat – R: 1 – R: 6 – Green Yarn, 
                              R: 7- Black Yarn,

                              R: 8 – R: 11 – Green Yarn

 R: 1 – Ch5, join in a circle. Ch3, 

12 dc in the circle, join, Ch 3. (13 dc)

R: 2 –Dc in the same st as the ch3, 

2 dc in each dc around, join, Ch1. (26dc)

R: 3 – 1 Sc in each dc around, join, ch 3. (26sc)

R: 4 –  1 dc in each dc around, join. (26dc)

R: 5 – Ch 3, 1 dc in each dc around, join. (26dc)

R: 6 – Ch 3, 1 dc in each dc around, join. (26dc)

R: 7 – Ch 3, 1 dc in each dc around, join. (26dc)

R: 8 - Ch 3, 1 dc in each dc around, join. (26dc)

R: 9 – Ch 3, 1 dc in each dc around, join. (26dc)

R: 10 – 1 dc in each dc around, join, Ch3. (26dc)

R: 11 - 1 sc in each sc around, join,

 tie off weave in your ends. (26dc)

Shamrock Applique

Ch 3, 2dc in the 3rd ch from the hook, ch2, slst in the same ch,
*ch2, 2dc, ch2, slst in the same ch*
Repeat From * to * 2 more times,
ch 4, slst in the 2nd ch, slst in the next 2 chs, join to the same beginning ch,
 tie of leaving a 10 inch tail for sewing in place.

Buckle: 
With yellow yarn, ch 13, 1 sc in 2nd ch from the hook,
1 sc in the next  ch, 2 sc in the next ch, *1 sc in the next 2 chs,
2 sc in the next ch, repeat from *to* 2 more times, join and tie off
leaving a 12 inch tail of yarn.
Sew on to hand band.
