This Hat Crochet Pattern Will Work For 6 different Hat Styles.

Pumpkin      Ghost
Candy Corn         Gingerbread 
Elf                        Santa

It's a Basic Chunky Pointed Hat.
And all six hats where made from this pattern.

It's Silly. It's Spooky and it's Holiday fun!

The only differences are the Yarn colors and 
of course a few details.

The Hat is designed in  3 sizes - 

Child, Youth and Adult

They Stitch up super fast because,
 They are  crocheted 
using 2 strands of Worsted Weight (4) yarn
 and an N/ 9.00 crochet hook.

Silly Spooky Holiday Hat Crochet Pattern

All Styles of Hats are crocheted exactly the same, just with different color yarns.

Skill: Easy

Materials:

Crochet Hook – N / 9.00MM

Yarn - Worsted weight (4) (5 - 6 oz. depending on size)
           (Your choice of Colors depending which hat you are making)

            Small Amount of Black for Face                 

Yarn Needle

Stitches:

Chain (ch)

Slip Stitch (slst)

Single Crochet (sc)

Half Double Crochet (hdc)

Double Crochet (dc)

Front Post Double Crochet (fpdc)

Change (chg)

Size: Approximate Sizes

Child - 16 -17 inches, Youth – 18-19, Adult – 20-22 inches

Notes:

Hat is worked using 2 strands at all times.

Ch 3 at beginning of Rounds counts as 1^st Double Crochet.

Rounds are joined with a slip Stitch to the Ch 3.
When changing colors, ch3 after the color change.

R: 1 –Ch5, join in a circle, ch3, 5 dc in the circle, join, ch 3

 (6 dc)

R: 2 – Ch3 counts as 1^st dc, 1 dc in the same st as the ch3,

1 dc in the next dc, 2 dc in the next 2 dc,

1 dc in the next dc, 2 dc in the last dc, join, ch 3. (10 dc)

R: 3 – Ch3 counts as 1^st dc, 1 dc in the same st as the ch3,

2 dc in each st around, join, ch 3 (20 dc)

R: 4 - Ch3 counts as 1^st dc, 1 dc in the same st as the ch3,

*1 dc in the next st, 2 dc in the next st* Repeat From * to * around,

 Join, ch 3 (30 dc)

Skip to R: 7 For Child size.

R: 5 - Ch3 counts as 1^st dc, 1 dc in the same st as the ch3,

*1 dc in the next 2 sts, 2 dc in the next st*

Repeat From * to * around,

 Join, ch 3 (40 dc)

Skip to R: 7 For Youth size.

R: 6 - Ch3 counts as 1^st dc, 1 dc in the same st as the ch3,

*1 dc in the next 3 sts, 2 dc in the next st*

Repeat From * to * around,

 Join, ch 3 (50dc)

R : 7 – 1 dc in each dc around, join, ch 3 (30 dc, 40 dc, 50 dc)

R : 8 – Repeat R: 7

R: 9 – Repeat R: 7

Skip to R: 13 For child Size

R: 10 - Repeat R: 7

Skip to R; 13 For Youth Size

R: 11 - Repeat R: 7

If more length is needed, add more rows here.

R: 12 – *1 dc in the 1^st st, 1 fpdc in the next st*

Repeat From * to * around, join, ch 3 (30 sts, 40 sts, 50 sts)

R: 13  - Repeat R: 13, tie off and weave in your ends.

Eyes: Make 2 using 2 strands of black yarn

With clack ch 4, 9 dc in the 4^th ch from the hook, join to top of ch 3,

 tie off leaving a 12 inch tail of yarn. Sew onto front of bandanna. (10dc)

Smile: Use 2 strands of black yarn
Embroider on a silly or spooky smile using straight stitches.

Now add Buttons, bows, pom poms and tassels.

Materials:

Crochet Hook – L / 8.00MM

Yarn: Bulky (5) 8 oz. (I used Red Heart Strata in several different
                                       colors I had on hand)

Yarn Needle - Large Eyed

Stitches:
Chain (ch)

Slip Stitch (slst)

Double Crochet (dc)

Space (sp)

Skip (sk)

Size: Youth to Adult -  Fits a 19-20 inch head
You can Adjust the size by going up or down in your hook size.

Pattern Notes:

Ch3 counts as a Double Crochet

Rounds are joined with a Slip Stitch in the ch3
The Striping is up to you, but make sure you ch3 after the color change.

R: 1 – Ch 5, Join in a circle, ch3, 9 dc in the circle,

 join with a sl st to the 1st dc, Ch 3. (10dc)

R: 2 - 1 dc in same st as ch3, 2 dc in each sc around, join, ch4

(20 dc)

R: 3 – Ch 4 counts as a dc, ch1,

*dc, ch1 in the next dc*

Repeat From * to * around, join, ch 3.

(20 sets of dc, ch1)

R: 4 – Slst in the 1 1st ch1 sp, ch3, 1 dc in the same ch1 sp,
 2 dc in each ch1 sp around, join,

(40dc)

R: 5 –Slst in the next dc, Slst to the sp between the 2^nd and 3^rd dc,

ch3, dc, ch1in that sp,

2dc, ch1 in the sp between every 2 dc around, join, ch 3.

 (20 sets of 2dc, ch1)

R: 6 – 1 dc in the next dc, 1 dc in the next ch 1 sp,

1 dc in each dc, and 1 dc in each ch 1 sp around, join, ch 3 (60 dc)

R: 7 – 1 dc in each dc, join, ch 4 (60dc)

R: 8 –Ch 4 Counts as dc, ch1,

*sk the next dc, dc in the next dc, ch1*

Repeat from * to * around, join, ch 4

(60sts)

R: 9 – *Dc in the next dc, ch1*

Repeat Around, join, ch 4

(60sts)

R: 10 – Repeat R: 9, but only ch 3

R: 11 – *1 dc in the next dc, 1 dc in the next ch1 sp*

Repeat From * to * around, join, ch 3

(60dc)

R: 12 – 1 dc in each dc around, join, ch 3

R: 13 – 1 dc in the same st as the ch3,
*1 dc in the next 2 dc, 2 dc in the next dc*

Repeat From * to * around, join, ch 3.

R: 14 – 1 dc in each dc, join, ch3

R: 15 – Repeat R: 14, only ch1

R: 16 – slst in each dc around, join, tie off weave in your ends.

Bow:

Ch 25 cut and tie each end.

Tie in a bow and attach to hat front.

You can also Substitute 2 strands of WW(4) or

 2 strands of Cotton yarn.
