The Super Quick And Easy Hooded Scarf

 is exactly that. It is a great Crochet Pattern

 for both beginners and expert crocheters. 

It is fun to stitch up and super pretty also.

I used The I Love This Chunky yarn from 

Hobby Lobby. It's a super soft, yet durable yarn, 

And The color is Cinnamon Cedar. 

This yarn is a Fall striping yarn and the colors

are rich and amazingly gorgeous.

This Hooded Scarf is so comfy to wear 

and looks beautiful added to any Fall outfit.

The guys will love it, as much as the girls.

This yarn also comes in several other colors,

 as well as, lots of solid shades.  Any Chunky (5) 

yarn will stitch up perfectly for this project.

If you want to have pockets on your scarf,

 just stitch up more rows, fold the ends up and 

stitch single crochets up the sides of the pockets,

and Wala - Pockets!

Make One for you and everyone on your Christmas list.

Because they do stitch up quick and are super fun to make.

Crochet Hook - N / 9 mm.

Yarn- Bulky (5) Acrylic - I Love This Chunky

           Cinnamon Cedar - 5 skein/17 oz.

Yarn Needle

Stitches:

Chain (ch)

Slip Stitch (slst)

Single crochet (sc)

Double Crochet (dc)

Front post Double Crochet (FPDC)

Back Post Double Crochet (BPDC)

Size: 

Hood - Fits 18 - 24 inch head - Its roomy

Scarf - 12 X 48 inches - 

             or as long as you want or need

Notes:
Ch1 does not count as a st

Ch 3 counts as dc

Pattern:

Scarf 

R: 1 - Ch 27, dc in the 4th ch from the hook,

Dc in each ch across, turn, ch 3 (25dc)

R: 2 - Ch3 counts as 1st dc on all rows of scarf,

*FPDC in the next dc, DC in the next dc*

Repeat from * to * across, turn, ch 3 (12 FPDC, 13 dc)

R: 3- *BPDC in the next FPDC, DC in the next dc*

Repeat from * to * across, turn, ch 3 (12 BPDC, 13 dc)

R: 4 - Dc in each st cross, turn, ch 3 (25dc)

R: 5 - Dc in each dc across, ch 3 (25dc)

R: 6 - R: 62 - Repeat R: 5

If a longer Scar fis wanted, Repeat R: 5 to Desired length.

R: 63 - Repeat R: 2

R: 64 - Repeat R: 3, ch1

R: 65 -  Sc in each dc,Tie off weave in the ends.

Hood: 

R: 1 - Ch 30, dc in the 4th ch from the hook,

Dc in each ch across, 2 dc in the last ch turn, ch 3 (29dc)

Turn, working down the Opposite Side of the ch,

3 dc in the 1st ch, Dc in each ch across,  turn, ch 3 (30dc)

(29 + 30 = 59 dc)

R: 2 - 1 dc in each st around, Turn, ch 3

(59dc)

R: 3 - 1 dc in each st around, Turn, ch 3

(59dc)

R: 4 - R: 12 -Repeat R: 3

R: 13  - Ch3 counts as 1st dc on all rows of hood,

Dc in the next dc,

*FPDC in the next dc, dc in the next dc*

Repeat around the hood, 1 dc in the last 2 dc,

 (28 FPDC, 31 dc =59 sts)

Do not tie off.

Open the hood and place on the edge of the

center of the scarf. Sc in place, Tie off, weave in the ends.

Join yarn to the right side of the scarf,

Sc across to the hood,

Sc around the front edge of the hood, 

Sc across to the left edge of the scarf, 

Tie off weave in the ends.

 It is a bulky (5) acrylic yarn, and I stitched it up with 

a K / 6.50 mm crochet hook. So not only is it 

super quick to stitch up, it is super easy as well.

 The yarn is nice to crochet with and 

I love the shades of blues and grays in this colorway.

I wanted to design a New Hooded Cowl and I wanted

 to try the new O'Go Yarn.  The New Let's Go Hooded Cowl Is the perfect Crochet Pattern For Both.  

But Do not worry if you do not have this particular yarn, 

And Bulky (5) yarn will work just fine.

This Crochet Pattern was released as 

"The Holly jolly Hooded Cowl".

As much as I like that name, we decided to

 change the Name To

 the "Winter Hooded Cowl".

This Chunky fun Hooded Cowl is fun to make 

and  Fun to wear.

It has  pom pom ties and a pompom on 

the top.  I think it has a classy look to it ,

as well as, a fun look.

 It is great to wear to keep warm and

 look good too.

The perfect Marriage of Softness and Warmth.

Hook - K/ 6.60 MM

Yarn - Chunk (5)  Hobby Lobby - Holly Jolly

         (10.5 oz, 336yards)

Stitches:

Chain (ch)

Single Crochet ( sc)

Double Crochet (dc)

Front post Double Crochet ( fpdc)

Back Post Double Crochet ( bpdc)

Notes: Ch3 At The ends of Rows counts as dc

Size - On size fits most. Youth to Adult (22 - 24 Inch head)

Gauge - 4 X4, 9 sts, 6 rows

R: 1 - We will be starting with the hood.

Ch 27, 1 dc in the 4th ch from the hook, and in the next 23 chs,

3 dc in the last ch, (27 dc)

Turn, working down the opposite side of the ch,

3 dc in the 1st ch, 1 dc in the next 24 ch, ch 3 turn

( 27 + 27 = 54 dc)

R: 2 - 1 dc in each dc, ch 3 turn (54 dc)

R: 3 - R: 12  - Repeat R: 2

R: 13  - *1 dc in the 1st dc,1 fpdc in the next dc*

Repeat From * to *, 1 dc in the last dc, ch 3 turn

R: 14 -  *1 dc in the 1st dc,1 bpdc in the next dc*

Repeat From * to * across, 

R: 15 - Ch 17, turn, 1 dc in the 4th ch from the hook,

 1 dc in the next 13 chs,

Then working across the bottom of the Hood, evenly dc 54dcs,

across the bottom of the hood, ch 3 turn ( 15 dc + 54 dc =69dcs)

R: 16  - 1 dc in each dc, ch3, turn.(69dc)

R: 17 - 19 - Repeat R: 16

R: 20 -*1 dc in the 1st dc,1 fpdc in the next dc*

Repeat From * to *, ch 3 turn

R: 21 - *1 dc in the 1st dc,1 bpdc in the next dc*

Repeat From * to *, ch 3,  turn.

R : 22- Trim  - Even sc up the side of the rows,

 then 1 sc in each st on the trim of the hood, then across the flap, 

and  down the side of the flap, tie off, weave in ends.

Tie - With 2 strands of the yarn,  ch 60, 

leaving a 6 inch tail on each end to tie the pompoms to.

Fold The Flat over the Front of the Cowl, and lace the ch in at the top corner.

Make 3 pom poms:

Wrap yarn around your 4 fingers 20 - 30 times. 

With a 10 inch matching piece of yarn, slip the yarn through the loops 

and tight securely. Trim pom poms evenly.

 You can wrap more loops yarn around your fingers if you want a fuller pompom.

  Then attach one to each tie end, and one on the point of the hood.

I really love how the Hooded Cowl Worked up, 

and I really love the colors in this yarn.

It is pretty, But also chunky and soft.
