We Added a bunch of new pictures and make a brand new video.

This jar Cozie is the perfect gift for the pet lovers, 

pet Rescue Workers, Veterinarian or any one who just

 loves Dogs, cats and pets.

It can keep your dog's cookies in them,

 or use as a pencil or crochet hook older.

Skill: Easy

Materials:

Crochet Hook – I/ 5.50MM

Yarn- Worsted Weight (4) about 2 oz, total

Yarn Needle

Jar – 16oz. Canning Jar

Some Dog Cookies

Stitches:

Chain (ch)

Slip Stitch (slst)

Single Crochet (sc)

Double Crochet (dc)

Back Loop only (blo)

Skip (sk)

Space (sp)

Size: fits a 16 oz. Canning jay (5 inches tall)

Notes:

Rounds are joined with a Slip Stitch to the ch 3

Ch 3 Counts as a Double crochet

Pattern :

R: 1 –Ch5, join in a circle. Ch3, 11 dc in the circle, join, Ch 3. (12 dc)

R: 2 – Dc in the same st as the ch3, 
2 dc in each dc around, join, Ch1. (24dc)

R: 3 – 1 sc in each dc around, join to 1st sc with s slst, ch 3. (24sc)

R: 4 – Blo, 1 dc in each sc around, join. (24dc)

R: 5 – 1dc in the 1^st 5 dc, ch 3, sk 3 dc,

1 dc in each of the rest of the dc, join, ch 3 (21dc, ch3)

R: 6 – 1 dc in the next 4 dc, ch 1, sk 1 dc, 
3 dc in the 3ch 3 sp, ch1, sk 1 dc,

1 dc in each of the next dc, join, ch 3. (22dc, 2 ch 1)

R: 7 – 1 dc in the next 4 dc, 1 dc in the ch 1 sp, ch 1, sk 1dc, 
1 dc in the next dc, ch1, sk next dc, 1 dc in ch1 sp, 
1 dc in each of the next dc, join, ch 3. (22dc, 2 ch 1)

R: 8 – 1 dc in the next 12 dc, ch 3, sk 3 dc,

1 dc in each of the rest of the dc, join, ch 3 (21dc, ch3)

R: 9 - 1 dc in the next 11 dc, ch 1, sk 1 dc, 
3 dc in the 3ch 3 sp, ch1, sk 1 dc,

1 dc in each of the next dc, join, ch 3. (22dc, 2 ch 1)

R: 10 - 1 dc in the next 11 dc, 1 dc in the ch 1 sp, ch 1, sk 1dc, 
1 dc in the next dc, ch1, sk next dc, 1 dc in ch1 sp, 
1 dc in each of the next dc, join, ch 3. (22dc, 2 ch 1)

R: 11 – 1 sc in each dc, and ch1 sp around, join to 1st sc with a slst, 
tie off weave in your ends. (24sc)

Side it on your Jar, and fill with what ever you like.

Luminary Jar Cozy Crochet Pattern

These beautiful Luminary Jar Cozies are easy to make
 with your left over yarns.
And inexpensive to create.
You can purchase the 16 jars at any Store, Like Walmart,
but also check your local thrift stores.

I Purchased the Led Candles at The Dollar Tree.
 There are 2 in a pack, batteries included.

I am going to line mine up in my Front Windows.
And since we are not using real Candles, 
the kids an help with the project, 
help with "lighting" the candles.

Led Tea Light candle

Stitches:

Chain (ch)

Single Crochet (sc)

Double Crochet (dc)

Front Post Double Crochet (fpdc)

Shell Stitch (shst)

Skip (sk)

Change to (chgto)

Size: Fits a Standard 16 oz. Jar 6 Inches

Notes:

Ch 3 counts as dc

Ch1 does not count as a st

R: 1 – With C1, Ch5, join in a circle,

ch 3, 11 dc in the ch5 circle. (12dc)

R: 2 – 1 dc in the same st as the ch3,

2 dc in each dc around, join, ch 1. (24dc)

R: 3 – 1 sc in each dc around, join, ch3 (24 sc)

R: 4 – 2 dc in the same st as the ch 3,
Sk next sc, dc in the next sc, sk next sc,

*3 dc in the next dc, sk the next sc, 1 dc in the next, sk the next sc*

Repeat from * to * 4 more times, join to the ch, ch3, slst in the next dc,
 (6 shell sts, 6dc)

R: 5 – 2 dc in the same st as the ch3, fpdc in the next dc,

*shst in the 2nd dc of the next shst, fpdc in the next dc*

Repeat From * to * 4 more times, join to ch 3, slst in the next dc,
ch 3. (6 shell sts, 6dc)

R: 6 – R: 10 – Repeat R: 5 (Ch1 after R: 10)

R: 11 – Chgto C2, Sc in the next dc,
ch1, sc in the 2^nd dc of the next shst, ch1

*sc in the next dc, ch1, ch1, sc in the 2^nd dc of the next shst, ch1*

Repeat From * to * 4 more times, join to 1^st sc, ch 1. (12 sc, 12 ch 1)

R: 12 – 1 sc in each sc and in each ch1 sp, join, ch 3 (24 sc)

R: 13 – Sk next sc, *ch3, sk the next sc, slst in the next sc*

Repeat From * to * around, join, tie off weave in the ends

Pop in the Candle and set it out for a fun festive decoration.

I prefer to leave the lids off mine, But you can put the lids on, 

since we are using a battery operated candle.

I really love them and I am planning on making more 

in different colors.
