Tie Dye Cotton Drawstring Bag Crochet Pattern
By Sara Sach of
I have been having so much fun learning about how to tie Dye.
First I did T- Shirts - LINK
Next, I did Cotton Yarn -LINK
And Then I thought, What if I made something, from the cotton yarn first, and then tie dyed it.
I chose to do my
This is How I did it!
I crocheted the bag
using white
100% Cotton yarn.
it the way I did
the T- Shirts.
I soaked the
Bag in a
Table Spoon of
Pure Baking Soda
for about
30 minutes.
I rinsed and wrung
out the bag.
Then banded
the bag.
Corner to Corner
Next, I began
to dye the banded sections
of the bag
with the dye
I had left from
my T-Shirt Projects
(Link Above)
After the bag was
all dyed
I gently slid it into
a zip bag.
I let it rest for 8 hours
I slid the bag out of
the plastic bag and began
to rinse it with cold water.
I removed the bands,
and added a
Table Spoon of Vinegar.
I rinsed it again
with warm water,
til the water ran clear.
I wrung out the bag,
and hung it out on my
deck to dry.
I really love
how the
stripes of
Color turned out.
