To Bring In The New Year!

These Noise Makers are a fun, silly and safe way for

 kids to adults to have fun making noise.

They can be tossed around, thrown in the air

 or just shake them. 

You can roll the bottle in some stuffing or batting

 to make them even safer for the kids. 

I suggest using bright or sparkle yarns for really fun 

effect, but any colors from your yarn stash will work.

Stitch up a bunch before you new Years Eve party. 

One for everyone As a party favor to remember 

what a great time they had at your get together.

They will love it.

Let's Make Some Noise -

 Noise Makers Crochet Pattern

Supplies:

Some empty pill bottles

Noise Makers - beads, buttons, pennies, dried beans

           Anything you can rattle and make some noise.

Yarn - Med (4) Any fiber

Crochet Hook - H (5 mm)

Yarn Needle

Scissors

Stitch Marker

Stitches:

Chain (ch)

Single Crochet (sc)

Slip Stitch (slst)

Size: 4.5 - 5 inches

Notes:

Stitched in the round, no joining

The First Thing you need to do is wash the pill bottle.

Next - put all the buttons, beads and "noise" in the pill bottle.

Now let's crochet the cover.

Pattern:

R: 1 - Ch 2, 6 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, (6sc)

Mark the last st of each row with the St. marker.

R: 2 - 2 sc in each sc, (12 sc)

R: 3 - *2 sc in the next sc, 1 sc in the next sc*

Repeat from * to*  around, (18sc)

 R: 4 - 1 sc in each sc, (18 sc)

R: 5 - R: 20 -  Repeat R: 4

slst in the next sc, 

 Tie off leaving a 14 in tail of yarn.

Put "noise makers" in the bottle, put the lid on.

Slide the bottle in the the crochet bag.

I Like to put the lid end in first.

Gather the top shut and tie securely.

Now Let's Make Some Noise.
