 The Fit's Like a Hug Shawl Crochet Pattern.

It's big roomy shawl measuring about

 52 inches across and 36 inches long Inches.

It Really Does Fit Like a Hug!

It is designed using The Lazy Days Lion Brand Yarn

 in 5 different colorways. 

Woodrose,  Lichen, Surf Spray, Clay, and Windchime

The colorways are warm colors, but also spring colors,

 but will work for any season. The Yarn is soft, and smooth

 and a dream to work with.

Although I designed This Shawl For Mother's Day,

 it is just what you need for any day when you get a little

 chilled or may be need a warm and comforting hug.

Great For taking to work, and leaving it on your chair

 for those cool offices.

Crochet Hook – I / 5.5 MM
Yarn – Medium (4) Lazy Days/ Lion Brand / 1005 Polyester, 

           5 skeins – 17.5 oz. total
           1 skein each of C1 - Woodrose, C2 – Lichen, 

           C3 – Surf Spray, C4 - Clay, C5 – Windchime
Yarn Needle

Chain (ch)
Single Crochet (sc)
Double Crochet (dc)
Back Loop Only (BLO)
Skip (sk)
Space (sp)
 
Size: 52 across X 36 long Inches
 
Notes:
Ch1 does not count as a st
Ch3 counts as a dc

Pattern:

The color changes are not indicated in the pattern,
I began with C1, and changed colors as I saw the skein

 was running out,
Following the order listed in the materials list above.
 
R: 1 – Ch 4, 3 dc, ch2, 4 dc in the 4^th ch from the hook,
Turn, ch 3 (4 dc, ch2, 4 dc)

R: 2 – Dc in the same st as the ch3, 1 dc in the next 3 dc,
2 dc, ch2, 2 dc in the ch2 sp, 1 dc in the next 3 dc, 2 dc in the last dc,
 Turn, ch3 (7 dc, ch2, 7 dc)

R: 3 – Dc in the same St as the ch3, Ch2, sk 2 dc,
1 dc in the next 2 dc, ch2, sk 2 dc,
2 dc, ch2, 2dc in the ch2 sp,
Ch2, sk 2 dc, 1 dc in the next 2 dc,
Ch2, Sk 2 dc, 2 dc in the last dc,
Turn, ch 1 (12 dc, 5 ch2)

R: 4 – Working in the BLO, 1 sc in the 1^st dc, 1 sc in the next 10 st,
2sc, ch2, 2sc in the center ch2 sp,
1 sc in the next 9 sts, 2 sc in the last dc, Turn, ch 3
(13 sc, ch 2, 13 sc)

R: 5 - Dc in the same st as the ch3, 1 dc in the next 11 sc,
2 dc, ch2, 2 dc in the ch2 sp, 1 dc in the next 11 sc, 2 dc in the last sc,
 Turn, ch3 (16 dc, ch2, 16 dc)

R: 6 - Dc in the same st as the ch3, 1 dc in the next 15 sc,

R: 7 -– Dc in the same St as the ch3, Ch2, sk 2 dc,

Repeat From * to * across to the Center Ch2,
2 dc, ch2, 2dc in the ch2 sp,
Repeat From * to * across, 2 dc in the last dc
Turn, ch 1 (24 dc, 10 ch2)

 
R: 8 - Working in the BLO, 1 sc in the 1^st dc,
1 sc in each st across to the center ch2 sp,
2sc, ch2, 2sc in the center ch2 sp,
1 sc in the each st across, 2 sc in the last dc, Turn, ch 3
(27 sc, ch 2, 27 sc)

Continue To Repeat R: R: 5 - R: 8 For 9 More Times.

Increasing every row,
Or more if a longer / Wider Shawl is desired.

On Your last Repeat of R: 8 - DO NOT BLO, Only sc in each st.
 

Turn, Ch1, working across the top of the shawl,
Evenly sc across, ch 1, join to the 1st sc,

tie off and weave in your ends.
