I originally designed this blanket crochet pattern

 back in 2017. I have made several of them and really

 love this simple, yet elegant blanket pattern. 

I decided it was time to retest, and update the pattern

with new pictures and a brand new video tutorial.

This is a wonderfully light throw and also works

 great as wrap or shawl, because of it's rectangle shape.

The perfect thing to have on hand for those cool 

spring mornings and evenings. 

Toss it across the back of your chair, and toss on your

 shoulders at the office that freezes you out.

It's also great for a car blanket, you never know 

when you will need a blanket in the car.

I used Premier Sweet Roll Frostie yarn,

in the Marzipan colorway.

Sweet Roll Frostie Yarn is available in 12 colors.

It is 100 % Acrylic, and each cake has 5 oz. / 245 yds.

It's a Medium (4) weight Yarn that is perfect for 

stitching up this Blanket.

 It takes about 15 ounces, but you can make it as large

 or small, as you would like.

It is a very simple Rectangle Granny Square,

 trimmed with a fun picot stitch.

Double Crochet (dc)
Space (sp)
Skip (sk)
Pico Stitch (pcst)
 
 Size:
Approximately 30 X 42 Inches
 
 Notes:
Ch 3 counts as a dc
Rounds are joined with a slst
 
Pattern:
R: 1 – Ch 27, 2dc in the 4^th ch from the hook (ch3 counts as a dc)
Ch2, 3 dc in the same ch, ch2, 3dc in the same ch,
 

*Ch2, sk2 chs, 1 dc in the next 3 chs*

 
Repeat From * to * 3 more times.
Ch2, Sk 2 chs, 3 dc in the last ch,
Ch2, 3 dc in the same ch, ch2, 3 dc in the same ch
 

Working down the Opposite side of the ch
*Ch2, sk2 chs, 1 dc in the next 3 chs*
Repeat From * to * 3 more times.
 Ch2, join to the ch3, Slst to the ch2 sp, ch3,
 

R: 2 -  2dc, ch2, 3dc in the 1st ch2 sp, Ch2
 3dc, ch2, 3dc in the next ch2 sp, ch2
 
 *3 dc in the next ch2 sp, ch2* 

Repeat From * to * 4 times

Repeat From * to * in the next ch2 sp

Repeat From * to * 4 times, join to the top of the ch3.

You will increase 1 "3dc group, ch2" on each side for each row.
 
 

R: 24 - Picot Trim: *3dc, pcst, 2dc, in next ch2 sp,
ch1, sc in next ch2 sp, ch1*
Repeat From * to * all around the 4 edges of the throw.
Join to 1st dc, tie off. Weave in your ends.
