The Coffee Shop Blanket is a fun and easy 

crochet pattern. It is a rectangle Granny Style 

Blanket that is light and airy for summer,

 but makes a great throw anytime of year.

Looks love on a sofa, chair or across your bed.

I designed this blanket using the Premier Yarn 

Coffee Shop Yarn in the  True Blue color, with

shades of blue, white and gray.

The yarn is 85% Acrylic and 15% wool, 

a great combination of fibers.

I purchased the yarn cakes last year and saved

 them for just the right blanket pattern.  I think this

 blanket pattern is the perfect pattern. The

 yarn is a light (3)weight yarn. Not too heavy

 and not too light.

 The yarn has a slight fuzziness

 to it that gives it a cosy feel and look. Just what

 you need in the evening with a glass of tea

 or cup of coffee, curled up with your favorite

 crochet project, watching a mover or 

reading a good book.

Materials:

Crochet Hook – H / 5 MM

Yarn – Light (3) Acrylic / Premier Coffee Shop / 

              True Blue 11.5 oz.

Yarn Needle

 

Stitches:

Chain (ch)

Slip Stitch (slst)

Double Crochet (dc)

Space (sp)

Skip (sk)

 

Size: 30 X 40 Inches

To adjust the size add or subtract rows as needed

 

Notes:

Ch 3 counts as a dc

Rounds are joined with a slst to the ch 3

When Changing colors, ch3 after the color change.

 

Pattern:

 

R: 1 – Ch 27, 2 dc in the 4^th ch from the hook (ch3 counts as a dc)

Ch 2, 3 dc in the same ch, ch2, 3dc in the same ch,

*Ch2, sk2 chs, 1 dc in the next 3 chs*

Repeat From * to * 3 more times.

Ch2, Sk 2 chs, 3 dc in the last ch,Ch2, 

3 dc in the same ch, ch2, 3 dc in the same ch

 

Working down the Opposite side of the ch

*Ch2, sk2 chs, 1 dc in the next 3 chs*

Repeat From * to * 3 more times

Ch2, join to the ch3, slst in the next 2 dc, slst in the ch2 sp, ch 3

(4 corners, 8 3dc clusters)

R: 2 - Slst to the ch2 sp, ch3, 2dc, ch2, 3dc in the 1st ch2 sp, Ch2

 3dc, ch2, 3dc in the next ch2 sp, ch2

*3 dc in the next ch2 sp, ch2* Repeat From * to * 4 times

Repeat R: 3 -You will increase 1 "3dc group, ch2" on each side for each row.

Trim:  Sc in the 1st ch2 sp, ch1, 

*2dc, ch1, 2dc in the next ch2 sp, ch1, sc in the next ch2 sp, ch1*

Repeat From * to * all around all 4 sides of the blanket

Join to the 1st st with a slst, tue off, weave in the ends.

Serendipity is when we find unexpected joy. 

Like being Lucky but better.

I think the name fits this throw blanket

 perfectly. It was a fun to design and finish, and 

it brought me a lot of expected joy when I finished it.

The Puzzle yarn is soft and fluffy, but too

 fuzzy to be too fussy.

And the shades of green are beautiful, as it

 blends and moves one shade to another.

I hope you as much joy stitching one up as I did.

I Love it so much I am going to keep it 

for my self, to lay across my couch.

The Stitch pattern is a diamond filet pattern,

 repeating across and down. You can find 

the multiples and measurement below

 in the crochet pattern. It is real easy to make 

it wider and long, for any size you need

I have wanted to design a Peppermint Christmas Blanket
 For a few years. I Love peppermint coffee, candy, 
ice cream and anything peppermint.  I could
 not decide on what yarn to use. That is until I found the

 Premier Basix Shimmer Peppermint. It is the perfect shade

of Christmas red, and bright white, and has a thread of

 metallic running through it. Yes, It is perfect matched

with the Bright White of the Premier Just Yarn. 

I decided to make it a granny square style blanket.

That way it can be just about any size, depending on 

how many of the 9 inch squares you want to make.

It is a throw blanket for tossing over a chair, couch or bed,

 but also a blanket for a Christmas baby gift.

It also makes a festive nice lap blanket.

The Squares can be used for a pillow, bag, wrap

 poncho and scarf. As well as, a table runner or 

place mats. That is why I love Granny Squares so

 much, there are just so many uses for them
