The Holiday Napkin Basket is designed for the

 Seasonal napkins  for Thanksgiving, and Christmas, 

and also for any time you need a special napkin holder,

like wedding, baby showers, birthdays, house warning,

 or just to match your table setting.

I designed mine in Holiday colors, but you choose

 the colors you wish. It's a great yarn stash buster, too.

I used acrylic yarns I had on hand, 

but cotton or any fiber of your choosing will work.

Any yarn That is a medium(4) weight yarn.

Materials:
Crochet hook – H / 5mm.
Yarn – Med (4) Acrylic –
                 Christmas Colors – C1 - Cream Metallic/ I Love This yarn – 2.5oz.
                                                   C2 – Basix / Premier yarn / Merry – 1.5 oz.
                                                   C3 – Metallic thread (0) gold 1.5 oz.
                For Fall Colors – C1- Light Brown Premier/ Just Yarn/ Golden Rod 2.5 oz.
                                              C2 – Basix/ premier yarn/ Harvest - 1.5 oz
Yarn Needle
Some Holiday Napkins 6 X 6 inches
 
Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Single Crochet (sc)
Double Crochet (dc)
Front Loop Only (FLO)
Front post Double Crochet (FPDC)
Double Crochet 2 Together (dg2tog) Decrease
Space (sp)
 
Size: 6.5 X 6.5 Inches, 3 Inches Tall
 
Notes:
Ch3 Counts as a dc
Ch2 Does not count as a st.
 
Pattern:

R: 1 – The Bottom Of The Basket is a Solid Granny Square.
Ch5, join in a circle, ch 3, dc ch1 in the circle,
*2 dc, ch1 in the circle*
Repeat 2 more times, join to the ch3 with a slst,
Slst to the next dc, slst in the ch1 sp, ch3
(4 sets of 2dc, ch1)

R: 2 – Dc, ch1, 2dc in the 1^st ch1 sp, 1 dc in the next 2 dc,
*2dc, ch1 2dc in the next ch1 sp, 1 dc in the next 2 dc*
Repeat From * to * 2 more times,
Join to the ch3 with a slst,
Slst to the next dc, slst in the ch1 sp, ch3
(4 sets of 6dc, ch1)

R: 3 - Dc, ch1, 2dc in the 1^st ch1 sp, 1 dc in the next 6 dc,
*2dc, ch1 2dc in the next ch1 sp, 1 dc in the next 6 dc*
Repeat From * to * 2 more times,
Join to the ch3 with a slst,
Slst to the next dc, slst in the ch1 sp, ch3
(4 sets of 10 dc, ch1)

R: 4 - Dc, ch1, 2dc in the 1^st ch1 sp, 1 dc in the next 10 dc,
*2dc, ch1 2dc in the next ch1 sp, 1 dc in the next 10 dc*
Repeat From * to * 2 more times,
Join to the ch3 with a slst,
Slst to the next dc, slst in the ch1 sp, ch3
(4 sets of 14 dc, ch1)

R: 5 - Dc, ch1, 2dc in the 1^st ch1 sp, 1 dc in the next 14 dc,
*2dc, ch1 2dc in the next ch1 sp, 1 dc in the next 14 dc*
Repeat From * to * 2 more times,
Join to the ch3 with a slst,
Slst to the next dc, slst in the ch1 sp, ch3
(4 sets of 18 dc, ch1)

R: 6 – 3 dc in the 1^st ch1 sp, Blo, 1 dc in the next 18 dc,
*3 dc in the next ch1 sp, Blo, 1 dc in the next 18 dc*
Repeat From * to * 2 more times,
Join to the ch3 with a slst, ch1 ( 72 blo dc, 16 dc)

R: 7 – Dc2tog the 1^st 2 dc, Dc2tog the next 2 dc, 1 dc in the next 18 dc,
*Dc2tog the next 2 dc, Dc2tog the next 2 dc, 1 dc in the next 18 dc*
Repeat from * to * 2 more times, join to the 1^st dc, ch 3 (80 dc)

R: 8 – 1 dc in each dc around, join to the ch3 with a slst, ch 3 (80dc)

R: 9 - Chgto C2, leave C1 attached,
For Christmas Colors, hold C2 and C3 together, Ch3,
*FPDC in the next dc, dc in the next dc*
Repeat from * to * around, join to the ch3 with a slst, (80 sts)

R: 10 – FPDC in the 1^st st, *dc in the next st, FPDC in the next st*
Repeat from * to * around, join to the ch3 (80 stst)

R: 11 – Chgto C1, leave C2 attached, Repeat R: 9

R: 12 – Ch1, 1 sc in each st around, join to the 1^st sc with a slst (80sc)

R: 13 – Chgto to C2, For Christmas Colors, hold C2 and C3 together,
Tie off C1, Slst in each sc around, join to the 1^st slst,
tie off and weave in your ends.

This is the cutest Little Candy Basket I have every seen.

It's perfect for candies and goodies, and a festive addition

 to your holiday decorating.

I designed these little baskets for My Christmas candy, 

but you can use any colors of yarn for any season or occasion.

The Sparkle comes From a metallic thread the runs

 through this yarn.

I used I Love This Yarn Metallic From Hobby Lobby.

It is a med (4) Acrylic yarn.

Change to (chgto)
 
Size:
5 inches across, 3 inches tall
 
Notes:
Pattern is worked holding 2 strands of yarn together
Do not cut yarns, when changing color.

Pattern:
 
R: 1 – With C1, holding 2 strands of yarn together,
Ch5, join in a circle, ch3, 9 dc in the circle,
 join to the ch3 with a slst, Ch3. (10 dc)
 

R: 2 - 1 dc in the same st as ch3, 2 dc in each dc around,
 join to the ch3 with a slst, ch3 (20dc)
 

R: 3 - 1 dc in the same st as ch3, 2 dc in each dc around,
 join to the ch3 with a slst, ch3 (40dc)
 

R: 4 – BLO, 1 dc in each dc around,

 join to the ch3 with a slst (40dc)
 

R: 5 – Chgto C2, Ch1, 1 sc in each dc around,
Do not join, mark last st with the SM
 

R: 6 – Chgto C1, 1 sc in each sc Working in the eye of each sc,
Mark the last st with the SM
 

The "eye" of the sc is between the 2 loops that look like a V.

R: 7- 1 sc in each sc Working in the eye of each sc,
Mark the last st with the SM
 
R: 8 – Chgto C2, 1 sc in each sc Working in the eye of each sc,
Mark the last st with the SM
 

R: 9 – Chgto to C1, ch1, *slst, ch1 in the next sc*
Repeat From * to * around join to the ch 1 with a slst,

 tie off weave in your ends.
 

Bow - Ch 35- 40 chs, tie off and knot both ends.
Attach to the front of the basket with a bow.

If you are going to use this basket for unwrapped

 candy or goodies.

Put a coffee filter in the basket, to keep it clean.
