Harmony Sample Blanket Crochet A Long.

We are finishing the Blanket with a Simple Trim.

The Harmony Sample Blanket Trim:

Skill: Easy

Materials:

Crochet Hook- H / 5.00MM

Yarn - Worsted Weight (4) Your choice of colors

Yarn Needle

Stitches:

Chain (ch)

Slip Stitch ( slst)

Single Crochet (sc)

Half Double Crochet (hdc)

Change to (chgto)

Skip (sk)

Notes:
I used a Swatch For the Demonstration and Photos

 Make sure when you end your last row, your blanket

 is facing with the Right side up.

When changing colors Ch1, after the color change

R: 52 - Join in your new color, ch 1, sc evenly down the

 side of the Blanket, making sure to st in the sides

 of the stitches, not the holes.

3 sc in the corner, sc evenly across the bottom of the blanket,

3 sc in the  corner,  sc evenly up the side of the Blanket,

3 sc, sc across the top of the blanket, 3 sc in the last corner,

join to the 1st sc with a slst,

( The stitch count is not important, just make sure your 

stitches are spaced evenly.

R: 53 - Chgto next color, ch 1, 1 hdc in each sc, 

stitch 3 hdc in each corner, join to 1st hdc with a sl st,

R: 54 - Chgto next Color, ch1, sc in the 1st hdc, 

*ch 3, sk next hdc, sc in the next hdc*

Repeat From * to * working around all 4 sides of the Blanket,

 join to the 1st sc, tie off, weave in your ends.

We are making a Sample Blanket Together.

Each month we will add a new and different 

Crochet stitch to the blanket. 

I asked for suggestions to Name our 

New Year Long Crochet A Long.

I receives an email from a wonderful friend and

 she suggested we name it the 

"Harmony Sample Blanket Crochet A Long"

Harmon means: Peace, Happiness, Friendship and Fellowship. 

It also means, The Combination of musical notes to 

produce chords having a pleasant effect.

I LOVE IT!

Today we Start with the Foundation and Stitch 1.

Add The Harmony Sample Blanket

Skill: Easy

Materials:

Crochet Hook – H/ 5.00 MM

Yarn- Worsted Weight (4) Colors of your choice

Yarn Needle

Stitches:

Chan (ch)

Single Crochet (sc)

Double Crochet (dc)

Skip (sk)

Space (sp)

Size: 25 X 25 inches
3 chs = 1 inch

Repeat for adjustment (3chs + 1 ch)

Notes:

Ch1 does not count as a sc.

Ch3 counts as a dc.

When changing colors at the end of a row, Ch1, or Ch3 AFTER the Color change.

R: 1 – Ch 75, 1 sc in the 2^nd ch from the hook, 1 sc in each ch across, turn, ch1 (74sc)

R: 2 – 1 sc in each, turn, ch3 (74sc)

R: 3 – 1 dc in the next sc, *ch2, sk 2 sc, 1 dc in the next 2 sc*

Repeat From * to * across, dc in the last 2 dc, turn, ch3 (74 sts)

R: 4 – 1 dc in the next  dc, 2 dc in the next ch2 sp, *ch2, sk 2 dc, 1 dc in the next 2 dc*

Repeat From * to * across, dc in the last 2 dc, turn, ch3 (74 sts)

Repeat R: 3 – R: 4 ( alternating rows) for as many rows as you like.

You now can get all 12 Stitches,

I really enjoyed designing these squares.

Each month I designed a 6 Inch Square using that month's birthstone as my inspiration.

Sewing thread to match the bandannas
