By Sara Sach Posh Pooch Designs

I designed The Double Diamond Table Runner
using Red Heart Striping yarn  called Preppy Stripes,

Any Med (4) yarn will work perfectly for this classy,
sassy and fun Table Runner.

I really love how this table runner  stitched up.

Live Video -Is There A Difference Between "Ombre and Gradient" Yarn? | Posh Pooch Designs

Live Video  Chat With Sara Sach of

Today's Topic - Is There A Difference Between
 "Ombre and Gradient" Yarn?
Which pictures of me is Ombre and
 which picture is Gradient?
A lot of  Designers and Yarn Manufacturers,
as well as, nail polish, hair dyes and garments, use these terms interchangeably.
They are similar, but there is a difference.

Ombre:

A French term that refers to colors or tones, usually
going lightest to darkest, in the same tone or colors.

Gradient:

A gradual movement from one color to another,
starting at the lightest shade and going to the darkest,
but not necessarily in the same tone or color.
Both Ombre and Gradient is where one color gradually blends into another color, But Ombre is in the same color family, and gradient is any colors like a red into a blue.

Swirling Rainbow Blanket Crochet Pattern And Red Heart Stripes Yarn Review | Posh Pooch Designs

Swirling Rainbow Blanket Crochet Pattern
 By Sara Sach
My 4 year old Grand daughter thought
I should call this Blanket "The Unicorn Poop Blanket".

I think it is an adorable name!
What do you think? Should I change the name?

The Blanket is a Pentagon Shape with 5 corners, and 5 sides.
It is trimmed with a fun heart edge.
It would be great as a summer blanket, stroller blanket,
lap blanket, a dog or pet rug, a floor rug, or just a blanket
to keep in the car for chilly days.
The Blanket measures 24 x 24 inches, but if you want to
make it bigger, continue to stitch as many rows as you want.

This Pattern is designed using Red Heart's New Yarn,
Super Saver Stripes.
The Color I used is called "Bright Stripes."
I Love the thickness and feel of the yarn.
It is a Worsted weight (4) like the other Super Saver yarns,
but it feels smoother. The yarn also has a shiny Sheen to it.
I especially love the Striping effect.
Long stripes of bright colors and a pop of Black
 between the colors.

I chose to call the Blanket Swirling Rainbows
because as you work the Pentagon around,
the bright colors seem to swirl.
Some projects and yarns you just work them to get done,
But this yarn is so fun to see how all the stripes work out.
