Friday Fun Day Project!

Everyone loves silly monsters, 

boys, girls and us adults too!

They are fun at Halloween, And

 they are also fun any time of year.

These monsters are silly, lovable and a great way 

to use up a bunch of left over cotton yarns and

 make some colorful and cute monsters.

Great to have on hand for birthdays, baby showers, 

Christmas, any time you need a last minute

 gift for the kids.

They are so fun to stitch up also. They are designed 

using medium (4) weight cotton yarns, in assorted

 bright colors, because I love bright colors, 

 Any colors in your yarn stash will work just fine.

Just Mix and match and have Some fun!

Materials:
Crochet Hook – H / 5 mm.
Yarn – Med (4) cotton Crafters Secret / Hobby Lobby
            C1- White - .5 oz.
            C2- Black - .5 oz.
            C3 Bright green - 1 oz.
            C4 – purple - . 5 oz.
Yarn Needle
 
Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Slip Stitch (slst)
Single Crochet (sc)
Double Crochet (dc)
Change to (chgto)
Black Loop Only (blo)
 
Size: 9 X 9 Inches

To make The washcloth wider, add any amount of chs.

To make The Washcloth tall add any amount of rows.
 
Notes:
Ch1 Does not Count as a st.
Ch3 Counts as a dc
 
Pattern:
 
R: 1 With C1, ch 27, sc in the 2^nd ch from the hook,
Sc in each ch across, turn, ch 1 (26 sc)

R: 2 – Blo, 1 sc in each sc across, turn, (26 sc, blo)

R: 3 – Chgto C2, leave C1 attached, ch1,
Blo, 1 sc in each sc across, turn, (26 sc, blo)

R: 4 - Blo, 1 sc in each sc across, turn, (26 sc, blo)

R: 5 - Chgto C1, leave C2 attached, ch1,
Blo, 1 sc in each sc across, turn, (26 sc, blo)
 
R: 6 - Blo, 1 sc in each sc across, turn, (26 sc, blo)

R: 7 – R: 16 – Repeat R: 5 – R: 6
Alternating colors Every 2 rows

R: 17 – Chgto To C3, tie off C1 and C2, Ch3
1 dc in each sc across, turn, ch 1 (26dc)

R: 18 – 1 sc in each dc across, turn, ch 3 (26 sc)

R: 19 - 1 dc in each sc across, turn, ch 1 (26 dc)
 
R: 20 –  1 sc in each dc across, turn, ch 3 (26 sc)

R: 21 - R 24 – Repeat R: 19 and R: 20
Alternating Rows

R: 25 – Chgto C4, tie off C3, ch 1
Evenly sc around the 4 sides of the washcloth,
St a sc, ch1, sc in the 4 corners,
Join back to the 1^st sc with a slst.

R: 26 – ch3, 2 dc in the 1^st sc,
*Sk 2 sc, slst in the next sc, ch3, 2 dc in the same sc*
Repeat From * to * across the top of the washcloth,
Working down the side to ending where C3 ends, at R: 17,
 Tie off weave in the ends.

Eyes: Make 2
With White yarn, ch 5, join in a circle, ch3, 11 dc, join in a circle,
join to the  ch3 with a slst,
Tie off leaving a 12 in tail of yarn.
 
With Black yarn add a French knot to the center of the eye.
 
Place eyes on the washcloth and sew in place
 using the tail of yarn and a needle.
 
Smile:
With Black yarn and Needle, embroider a smile of choice.

The American Flag Day is On Jun 14 , 

it is a very important day for me.

We are a very patriotic family because my husband 

served in The US Air Force. We have lots of family 

members who served. My Father in Law, my son where

 also in the US Air Force, My little sister was in the Navy.

 And my husband's uncle served a Navy pilot and was a

 Prisoner of War at The Hanoi Hilton. His Name is Eugene

 "Red" McDaniel. He is an American Hero.

I decided to make something that we could stitch up quickly

and would very useful. The Crochet Pattern can be a

 washcloth, a doily or just a Patriotic Decoration.

I love the Chevron style pattern, It makes me think of

 the Flag blowing  and flowing in the wind. And The 

Washcloth is nice size at 12 X 12 Inches.

Here is quick history of our American Flag - 

History of the American flag

The flag of the United States is a symbol of freedom before which Americans recite the Pledge  of Allegiance.

The flag's 13 red and white stripes represent the 13 original colonies. Its 50 white stars on a blue background represent the 50 states.

Each of the colors on the flag has a meaning:

• Red: valor and bravery
• White: purity and innocence
• Blue: vigilance, perseverance, and justice

A star is added to the flag when a new state joins the United States. The flag was last modified on July 4, 1960, when Hawaii was incorporated as a state.

 Although, they do make a great gift set, paired with some nice soaps or body wash. 

Pamper Me Spa Cloths - 3 sizes 

1 for your Eyes, 1 for your Face and
 1 for your Body

(5.5, 6.5 and 7.5 inches cloths)
Each Cloth is made using Bobble Stitches to gently scrub
 away the cares of the day.

Crochet Hook – I / 5.50MM (5 oz. for all 3 cloths)

Yarn - Cotton I used Peaches and Cream/ Lily

Yarn Needle

Stitches:

Chain (ch)

Slip Stitch (slst)

Single Crochet (sc)

Triple Stitch (tr)

Sizes: Eyes - 5.5, Face - 6.5, Body - 7.5

Pattern is Written in the small size with the (medium, large) in parenthesis.

Notes:

Ch1 Does not count as a stitch.

R: 1 - Ch 16 (20, 25) 1 sc in the 2^nd ch from the hook, 1 sc in each ch across, turn, ch1.

(15, 19, 24 sts)
