Christina’s Panda Hat Crochet Pattern | Posh Pooch Designs

 Christina’s Panda Hat Crochet Pattern
By Sara Sach of  Posh Pooch Designs

I originally wrote this Crochet Pattern for my
Daughter in Law, Christina, who loves Pandas
about 10 years ago. She loved it and so did I.
I decided to retest the pattern and update it with lots
of new pictures and a Brand New Video Tutorial.
This time it's for her daughter, my granddaughter,
who also loves pandas.

The Hat is stitched with I Love This Chunky
Yarn from Hobby Lobby. It is a Chunky (5)
yarn so it stitches up super fast. And is also very
soft and comfy to wear. The Hat will fit a 22 - 24 inch
head as the the hat is very stretchy.
FYI - I measured her head and her head is the same
size as mine, and she is 9 years old.

The hat is a basic beanie style hat with a fun section of
V Stitch Stripes. Although the pattern is basically Black
and White like a Panda, the color of the stripes is totally
 up to you.

Velvet Stocking Hat Crochet Pattern | Posh Pooch Designs

 Velvet Stocking Hat Crochet Pattern
By Sara Sach of  Posh Pooch Designs

The Velvet Stocking Hat is a lot of fun to stitch up.
Do not be intimidated By Velvet Yarns. The key
to working with them is to loosen your tension
 up just a little.

The Pattern is easy, because it is stitched in basic stitches
but we placed it at Easy to Moderate because
 of the velvet yarn.

I really like this Velvet Yarn From Hobby Lobby,
called Velvety Smooth. It is smooth and easy to crochet with,
but also it is a medium (4) so any pattern written for
medium (4) Yarns will work with this yarn.

The Pattern is Written For 22 - 24 inch heads,
but keep in mind the hat band is quite stretchy,
and may nee to adjust your hook size for a good fit.
The hat's design is a long slouchy fit.

I Love The Sparkle in the yarn and chose to use "antique"
colors for a little bit different look. Of course you can
choose any colors you prefer.
