Sock Monkey Stuffed Woobie Crochet Pattern

The Sock Monkey Woobie can be made in 2 sizes
A 12 inch or a 6 inch
The 12 inch has Maximo and Rosies stamp of Approval.
They prefer the 12 inch size.

Materials:
Yarn needle
Yarn: Worsted Eight (4) I used Vanna's Choice -Taupe Mist - C1,
Red heart Super saver -White - C2, Red - C3, Black- C4

Stuffing - Polyfiberfill - about 6 - 8 oz
Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Single Crochet (sc)
Half Double Crochet (hdc)
Change To (chgto)
Size: 6 and 12 inch
Notes:
Ch2 counts as a hdc
Rounds are joined to the ch2 with a slst.
Starting at the hat:
R: 1 - With C2, ch 3, in 2nd ch from the hook st 6
hdc, join, ch2, turn (6 hdc)
R: 2 - 2 hdc in each hdc, join, ch2, (12hdc)
R: 3 - 2 hdc in each hdc, join, ch 2, (24hdc)
R: 4 - 1 hdc in each hdc, join, ch2 (24hdc)
R: 5 - Chgto C1, 1 hdc in each hdc, join, ch2, turn
R: 6 - R: 16 - For 6 inch Size Repeat R - 5
R: 6 - R: 30 - For 12 inch Size Repeat R - 5
R: 6 - R: 30 - For 12 inch Size Repeat R - 5

Stuff the Woobie up to the end,
sew all along to top of the end with the tail of yarn,

Paws: Make 4 - 2 hands and 2 feet
R: 2 - 2 hdc in each hdc, join, ch 2 (12 hdc)

R: 4 - 1 hdc in each st, join, ch 2 (hdc)
R: 5 - R: 6 - Repeat R : 4, leaving a 6 inch tail of yarn

Stuff each paw with a little bit of stuffing and gather the

place on monkey, and sew in place with matching yarn.
Ears: make 2

Place one on each the side of the head and sew on
with tail of yarn and needle.
Eyes: make 2
With black yarn, ch 2 in the 2nd ch from the end make 6 sc, join,
tie off leaving about an 18 inch tail of yarn.

making sure to close the hole in the center of the eye.
Place on the front of the face and sew in place with the tail of yarn.
Mouth:
With Red, ch 7, 1 sc in 2nd ch from the hook, 1 sc in the next 5 chs,
turn down the opposite side of the ch, 1 sc in next 6 chs, join. (12sc)
Change to white yarn, 2 sc in the 1st sc,
1 sc in the next 6 sc and 2 sc in the last sc,
2c in the next sc, 1 sc in the next 6 sc, 2 sc in the last sc,
2c in the next sc, 1 sc in the next 6 sc, 2 sc in the last sc,
join and tie off leaving an 18 inch tail of yarn.
Place on the front of the monkey and sew in place. (16sc)
Tail: Ch 10 - 15, tie off. Tie a knot in the end.
Attach the tail to the back of the money.

Pom pom :
With Red yarn, Wrap around your three middle fingers
about 30 or 35 times.
Cut an 12 inch piece of matching yarn,
and slip it through all the loops and tie very tightly.
Clip all the loops and trim evenly.
Attach to top of the Woobie.
