Scrap Happy Flip Through Towel Crochet Pattern | Posh Pooch Designs

 Scrap Happy Flip Through Towel
 Crochet Pattern
By Sara Sach of  Posh Pooch Designs

The Scrap Happy Flip Through Towel is
The 2nd Crochet Pattern For Our
"Scrap Happy Crochet A Long 2022".
Our goal is to use up our scrap and left over yarns
and make some fun and useful projects.
The Crochet Pattern is released on the 3rd
 Tuesday of each month.
And will have a Written Pattern, a Photo Tutorial
 and a Video Tutorial.

This Month's Crochet Pattern, The Scrap Happy Flip
Through Towel, is made using left over Med (4)
cotton yarns. You can stitch it randomly or
control the color stripes.
I love stitching them up both ways.
The top of the towel has a slot to flip the towel through,
so it can be hung up on a towel bar or handle.
So it's great for the Kitchen or the bathroom.

You get a nice texture from the
Half Double Crochet V sts (hdc Vst)
that will work great for drying the dishes,
counters, sinks and tubs. It also looks really pretty
hanging up.

Coffee And Crochet Podcast - Does Hook Size Really Matter? | Posh Pooch Designs

 Coffee And Crochet Podcast
Let's Do An Experiment To See If
 Hook Size Really Matters
With Sara Sach of Posh Pooch Designs

☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕

See The Video On My Crochet Youtube
 Channel At This LINK

We are going To Crochet a Simple Circle
To see if Hook Size Really matters.

Grab A
H / 5.00 MM hook
And
J/ 6.00 MM Hook
And Any Med (4) yarn from
your Yarn Stash

Stitch up a circle with each hook using the same yarn.
Than let's measure to see if Hook Size Matters?

Skill; Easy
Materials:
Crochet Hook - H/ 5.00 mm. And J / 6.00 mm.
Small Amount of any Med (4) yarn fiber does not matter

Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Slip Stitch (slst)
Double Crochet (dc)

Size: 4 inches across if Stitched with the 5.00 MM Crochet Hook
5 inches across if Stitched with a 6.00 MM Crochet Hook

Pattern Notes:
Ch 3 counts as a dc, join rounds to the ch3 with a slst.

Make one Circle With Each Size Crochet hook - (H, J)
following the pattern the same.

R: 1 - Ch 4, 1 dc in the 4th ch from the hook, 8 more dc in the the same ch,
join to the top of the ch 3, Ch 3 ( 10dc)

R: 2 - 1 dc in the same st as the ch 3, 2 dc in each dc around, join to top of ch 3,
Ch 3 (20dc)

R: 3 -1 dc in the same st as the ch 3, 2 dc in each dc around, join to top of ch 3
Tie off, weave in ends. (40dc)
How did your circles come out?

2 Things To Remember:

1. Crochet Hook Size Does Matter.

2. Everyone's Tension Is Different.

3. If your tension/ gauge is not measuring right,
you can loosen or tighter your stitches,
or Go up or down a hook size, or 2.
