Materials:
Crochet hook – H/ 5.00 MM
Yarn – Worsted Weight (4)
Yarn Needle

Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Double Crochet (dc)
Slip Stitch (slst)
Skip (sk)
Space (sp)

Size: 6 X 6 inches

Note: 
Ch3 counts as a dc.
Rounds are joined to the ch3 with slst 

R: 1 – Ch5, join in a circle, ch3, 2dc, ch 3in the circle,
*3 dc, ch 2* in the Circle 2 more times, join,
Slst to the next ch 2 sp, ch 3
(4 sets of 3 dc, ch2)

R: 2 – 1 dc in the same sp as ch 3, ch2, 2 dc in the same sp,
Ch1, sk next dc, dc in the next dc, ch1, sk next dc,
*2dc, ch2, 2dc in the next ch2 sp (corner)
Ch1, sk next dc, dc in the next dc, ch1, sk next dc*
Repeat From * to * 2 more times,
Join, slst to the next ch2 sp
(4 sets of 2dc, ch2, 2dc, ch1, dc, ch1)

R: 3 - 1 dc in the same sp as ch 3, ch2, 2 dc in the same sp,
(Ch1, sk next dc, dc in the next dc, ch1, sk next dc)
Repeat between the ( ) 3 times,
*2dc, ch2, 2dc in the next ch2 sp (corner)
(Ch1, sk next dc, dc in the next dc, ch1, sk next dc)
Repeat between the ( ) 3 times,*
Repeat From * to * 2 more times,
Join, slst to the next ch2 sp
(4 sets of 2dc, ch2, 2dc, and ch1, dc, ch1 3 times)

R: 4 - 1 dc in the same sp as ch 3, ch2, 2 dc in the same sp,
(Ch1, sk next dc, dc in the next dc, ch1, sk next dc)
Repeat between the ( ) 5 times,
*2dc, ch2, 2dc in the next ch2 sp (corner)
(Ch1, sk next dc, dc in the next dc, ch1, sk next dc)
Repeat between the ( ) 5 times,*
Repeat From * to * 2 more times,
Join, slst to the next ch2 sp
(4 sets of 2dc, ch2, 2dc, and ch1, dc, ch1 5 times)

R: 5 - 1 dc in the same sp as ch 3, ch2, 2 dc in the same sp,
(Ch1, sk next dc, dc in the next dc, ch1, sk next dc)
Repeat between the ( ) 7 times,
*2dc, ch2, 2dc in the next ch2 sp (corner)
(Ch1, sk next dc, dc in the next dc, ch1, sk next dc)
Repeat between the ( ) 7 times,*
Repeat From * to * 2 more times,
Join, slst to the next ch2 sp
(4 sets of 2dc, ch2, 2dc, and ch1, dc, ch1 7 times)

Don't forget to Block your Squares for a more uniform appearance.


And makes them easier to join, as well.
