Tommy The Turkey Doily and Placemat Crochet Pattern

When I was designing this Turkey Doily I loved
how it was stitching up.
But when I added the eyes and beak, this silly
doily just made me giggle, or was that Gobble.
You can Leave off the face for a more "elegant" Doily.
I Just love it so much, and Hope you do too!

C1 - 2 oz. light brown, C2 - 1 oz. Fall Variegated,
Small amount of gold, dark brown and White
Yarn Needle

Single Crochet (sc)
Double Crochet (dc)
Skip (sk)
Space (sp)
Change to (Chgto)
Size: 12 X 12 Inches
Notes:
Ch1 Does not count as a st
Ch3 3 Counts as a dc
Ch4 Counts as a dc, ch1
Rounds are joined to the ch3 with a slst

of the sc working around the bottom edge of the turkey,
join to the sc on the other side of the turkey.
Eyes:
Make 2
With White
yarn, ch 2, 8 hdc in the 2nd ch from the hook, join with a slst,
tie off leaving an 8 inch tail of yarn for sewing in place.
Pupil is
made by stitching a French knot with Brown yarn.
Place on the top of the snood and sew in place.
Beak: With gold yarn, ch 2, 2 sc in the 2nd
ch from the hook, ch 1 turn (2sc)
2 sc in
each sc, ch1, turn (4sc)
1 sc in each sc (4sc)
turn down the 1st side and evenly crochet to the point of the beak,
2 sc in the point, the sc up the other side, join to the 1st sc and tie off.
Leave a 10 in piece of yarn for sewing place.
Repeat From * to * 12 Mores times
Sc in the next sc, (13 shsts)
join to the sc on the other side of the turkey.
tie off leaving an 8 inch tail of yarn for sewing in place.
Place on the top of the snood and sew in place.
1 sc in each sc (4sc)
turn down the 1st side and evenly crochet to the point of the beak,
2 sc in the point, the sc up the other side, join to the 1st sc and tie off.
Leave a 10 in piece of yarn for sewing place.
