Colorado Flag Ear Flap Beanie Hat | Posh Pooch Designs

Colorado Flag Earflap Beanie
 Crochet Pattern By
Sara Sach of  Posh Pooch Designs

Doesn't my Model look good in his
New Blond hair do?
hee hee, I Love it.....anyway!

I had not intended to design a Ear flap Beanie Hat
 For Our Colorful Colorado Series,
But I have gotten so many people asking for it,
that I felt I had to.
I designed the pattern in 3 sizes, like the
 other Colorado beanie hats.
I added a regular pompom but you can use a
fuzzy pompom is wanted.
And I had to add the the thick braids.
An Ear flap Beanie just has to have braids.

This hat is perfect for any team or school colors.
It is warm and comfy, and also perfect
 for the Colorado Lover!
And It is very easy to stitch up.

Fuzzy Top Colorado Flag Beanie Crochet pattern | Posh Pooch Design

Fuzzy Top Colorado Flag Beanie
 Crochet Pattern
by Sara Sach of Posh Pooch Designs
I am having so much fun with these
great big fuzzy pom poms that I found at Hobby Lobby.
They are cheap, about $3.00 and come in lots of colors.
I was asked to make a
Colorado Flag Beanie Crochet Pattern
 with Worsted weight yarn.
I was going to just make a regular pompom,
but when I saw this great big white Fuzzy pom pom,
I had to buy it for this project.

This hat is really easy to Stitch up.
I Put the Skill at "Easy to moderate"
because of the Front post stitches
 on the hat band.

Colorado Beanie - Top Down | Posh Pooch Designs

The Colorado Beanie - Top Down.
Crochet Pattern By Sara Sach of
Posh Pooch Designs

The perfect Beanie for the Colorado Lover!

And who isn't?

It is perfect for skying, climbing, hiking, Jeeping or

what every fun thing you love to do in Colorado!

It is perfect for Men, Women and Boys and Girls!

This New Design was in the works for a while.
I was inspired by a Eyeball beanie
  I saw a boy wearing,
when I took my grand daughter to the local
 pumpkin patch.

It was knit, but I thought that style would look great
 using our Colorado Flag.
So I made a sketch and went off my drawing.
And This Awesome Beanie hat
is what I came up with.
I absolutely love it,
and love wearing it all over our town.
I get lots of compliments!

I chose to use worsted weight yarns,
and designed the beanie in 3 sizes.

Yarn: Worsted Weight (4)
 1 oz. Yellow – C1,
 1 oz. Red - C2
  2 oz. White – C3
  3 oz.  Royal Blue – C4
Yarn Needle

Stitches:

Single Crochet (sc)

         Adult – 19-20 inches (L)

Notes:
Rounds are joined with a sl st.

Ch3 at beginning of round counts as a dc.

The White yarn needs to be wound into 2 balls or spools.
You will work the white stripes without cutting the yarn,
using 1 ball of white yarn for each stripe.

Carrying Your Yarn –
The Blue portion of the beanie is worked by carrying
Your yarn across the white stripes.
You leave the 1st color attached,
and crochet over the yarn, on the back side.
Be careful to not pull the yarn to tight or it will bunch,
 and not lay flat.
