Today On Friday Fun With Sara we are crocheting a

 Spiral Rose Heart that can be a Brooch, a Magnet

 or a an applique. Add them to a headband, hat, scarf, bag, 

purse, sweater And Whatever you want to.

The Spiral Rose Heart is stitched up with Med (4) yarns,

And a 5.00 MM Crochet Hook.

 Any yarn fiber will work. It's a great project for using

 up those left over yarns. 

It is a nice size at 3 inches across.

Stitch a bunch and decorate for Valentines Day.

Yarn - Med (4) Acrylic or Cotton, or yarn of choice (about 1 OZ.)

Yarn Needle

3 small Pony Beads 
 
Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Slip Stitch (slst)
Single crochet (sc)
Half Double Crochet (hdc)
Double crochet (dc)
Front Loops Only (FLO)
Back Loop Only(BLO)
 
Size: 3 inches

Notes:
We are Working in the Round, Do not join rounds.
 
Pattern:
 
R: 1 - Ch 4, 9 dc in the 4^th ch from the hook. Do not join. (10 dc)
Mark last st with st Marker
 

R: 2 – 2 dc in the ch3, FLO, 

2 dc in each dc around. (20 FLO)
Mark last St with St Marker
 

R: 3 – 2 dc in the back bottom ch of the ch3,

BLO 2 dc in each dc around (20 BLO)
Mark last St with St Marker
 

R: 4 – Forming The Heart – Working in the BLO,
Sc in the 1^st dc, 2 hdc in the next dc, 2 dc in the next dc, 

2 hdc in the next dc, slst in the next dc
(Sc, 2hdc, 2dc, 2dc, slst)

2 hdc in the next dc, 2 dc in the next dc, 

2 hdc in the next dc, sc in the next dc
(2hdc, 2dc, 2hdc, sc)

1 sc in the next 5 dc,
Dc, ch1, dc, in the next dc,
1 dc in the next 5 dc, join to the 1^st sc with a slst,
 Tie off Weave in your ends.

Sew pony Beads to the center of the Rose heart with matching yarn and needle.

I stitched up my Briar Rose Shawl using Red Heart's

 New Ombre Yarn in Anemone

There are 12 different shades to choose from

I want them all!

You can crochet the whole Shawl with just 1 skein

 of the Red Heart Ombre Yarn because it has 

10 oz on each skein.

The colors move from Dark shades  to Light shades

 in a soft subtle manner. It is one of the most beautiful Ombre yarns i have ever seen or used.

I purchased some yummy yarns 

when we were on an Alaskan Cruise From

Rushin Talyor's Quilt and Yarn Shop,

 in Skagwag, Alaska.

I made several things for my sisters for Christmas, 

But I  had 1 4oz shank I was saving for something for me.

So I designed The Briar Rose Shawl.

The Bottom Yarn in the pic.

A Good Alternative for this yarn color is 

Cherry Chip From Red Heart Yarn.

But to get the luscious yarn you have to order from 

the yarn shop in Alaska.

So I designed a simple and Sweet shawl that reminded

 me of a Briar Rose growing wild in the mountains.

 I Love The colors on this shawl, 

but you can use any colors of Worsted weight yarn.
