Won Super Bowl 50!
So I wore my Broncos Colors Hat
out to run errands and I had
of people want the hat or crochet pattern.
So I thought I better get it written down.
It is written with 2 sizes, child and Adult.
So here ya go!
This hat is great with any
Worsted weight yarn or even cotton.
You can also use 1
strand of Chunky yarn (5)
for this pattern.
The Big Fuzzy pom poms
can be found at Hobby Lobby.
The one near me has lots
of colors to choose from.
This Crochet Pattern is super easy
and supper fast to whip up.
It is stitched in V stitches
for nice texture.
Fuzzy Top Broncos Colors Beanie Hat Crochet Pattern

Crochet Hook – K
Yarn - Worsted Weight (4) 6 oz. Hat is
stitched holding 2 strands together
I used – Soft Secret by Yarn bee –
Mandarin Mist (Bronco colors)
Fuzzy Pom pom
Single Crochet (sc)
Double Crochet (dc)
Double Crochet Decrease (dc dec)
Back Loop only (blo)
Size: Hat is Sized - Child (15 -17 inches) and Adult/ youth (18-20 inches)
The band is very stretchy, keep that in mind when sizing.
Ch3 counts as a st, Rounds are joined with a slip Stitch.
R: 1 - Starting at the hat band - ch 9,
1 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook and in each ch,
Ch 1, (ch1 does not count as a st) turn (8 sc)
R: 2 - blo, 1 sc in each sc, ch 1 turn (8 sc)
R: 3 - 36 Repeat R: 2 for child size hat
R: 3 - 51 Repeat R: 2 for adult size hat
Put the 2 ends together and sc across,
Sew the ends together to form the hat band.
R: 51 - Turn, st 1 sc in the top of each row around, join, ch 3
(36 sc child, 51 sc adult)
R: 52 – 1 dc in each sc around, join, ch3
R: 53 – 1 dc in the same st as the ch3,
*sk next 2 sts dc, “dc, ch1, dc” in the next dc* (V st)
Repeat from * to * around hat band,
Join to the top of the ch 3, Ch 3.
R: 54 – 1 dc in the next st, * dc, ch1, dc* in the next V st*
Repeat From * to * around, join to top of ch3, ch 3
R: 55 – 61 - child size hat Repeat R: 54
R: 55- 68 - adult size hat Repeat R: 54
Add 3 more rows if you want the hat to be a slouchy hat.
Tie off leaving a 12 inch tail of yarn.
Turn hat inside out, and thread the tail of yarn onto the yarn needle.
Gather the top edge of the hat, and pull in tightly, tying securely.
Attach the fuzzy pom pom on top.
