Chunky Dog Collars


Chunky Dog Collars: 
One With a Flower and one with a Bow tie!

Chunky Dog Collars Crochet Pattern By Sara Sach

Skill: Easy

Materials:
Crochet Hook -K
Large Yarn needle
Yarn : Chunky (5 or 6) I used USA hometown by Lion Brand chunky yarn
             And I Love This Chunky/ Hobby Lobby


Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Single Crochet (sc)
Double Crochet ( dc)
Half Double Crochet (hdc)

Getting Started: first measure your dog's neck--keeping mind yarn stretches.

And also you will need to slip the collar over their head.

My dogs have 12 inch necks( 24 chs + 2 chs =26chs)

Collar :
Ch 26, ( your dog's neck measurement + 2 chs)
join in a circle, ch1
R : 1 - 1 sc in each ch around, join, ch1
R : 2 - R : 4 - Repeat R : 1, tie off weave in your ends.

For a larger dog and a thicker collar, add more rows.

Bowtie :
R : 1- With Hot pink, Ch 13, 12 sc, ch1 turn
R : 2 - 12 sc, ch1, turn
R : 3 - R ; 4 - Repeat R : 2
Tie off, and weave in the ends of yarn.

Cut a 12 inch piece of matching yarn, wrap it around the center
of the bowtie and tie very snuggly.
Attach to center of the collar with the tails of the yarn.

6 Petal Flower :
With C1, Ch 3, 12 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, join,

Change to C2 * ch 2, 3 dc, in next st, ch 2, slst in the next st*
Repeat from * to * 5 more times for 6 petals, sl st to join,
tie off and weave in ends. sew on the collar.

You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be really something which I think I would never understand. It seems too complicated and very broad for me. I am looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!
