I am super Exciting about 
The January Square Of The Month, The Garnet Square.

I Am updating The Granny Squares from 
the 2017 Granny Square Crochet Along. We are 
retesting all the crochet patterns And filming
  brand new videos for each square. And Re-releasing
 one each month.


Each Square is a 6 inch Square that we can put
 together in a fun project at the end.
I will explain everything about it in the video.

January Garnet Afghan Square Crochet Pattern

Skill: Easy

 

Materials:

Crochet Hook H / 5 mm.

Yarn -Worsted Weight (4) Red Heart With Love - Garnet

Yarn needle

 

Stitches:

Chain (ch)

Slip Stitch (slst)

Single Crochet (sc)

Double Crochet (dc)

 

Size:  6 inches


Pattern: 

 

R: 1 - Ch 5, join ch in a circle

In the ch circle, *ch6, sc* Repeat from * to * 7 times,

Slst in the 1st ch6 loop.

(8 ch 6 loops)



R: 2 - *Sc, ch7, sc in the next loop* Repeat From * to * 7 times,

 join with a sl st to the 1st sc, (sc, ch7, sc = 8 loops)



R: 3 -Slst in the next loop, ch3, 2 dc, ch2, 3 dc in that loop, ch2, 

3 dc in the next loop, ch2,

*3dc, ch2 dc in the next loop, ch2, 3dc, ch2 in the next loop*

Repeat from * to * 2 more times, join with a slst to the ch3



R: 4 - Slst to the next ch2 space, ch3, 2 dc, ch2, 3 dc in that ch2 sp, ch2,

 3 dc in the next 2 ch1 sps,

*3dc, ch2 dc in the next ch2 sp, ch2, 3dc, ch2 in the next 2 ch2 sps

Repeat from * to * 2 more times, join with a slst to the ch3



R: 5 - (Sc in the next ch2 sp, 2 Sc , ch2, 2 sc in the 1st corner, 

1 sc in the 3 dc, 

*2 sc in the ch2 sp* Repeat 2 more times)

Repeat From ( to ) 3 more times, join to the 1st sc,

tie off eave in your ends.  





I do recommend you block each square. This will make them a uniform size,

 help piecing them all together.
