June has 3 Birthstones, 

The Pearl, Alexandrite and the Moonstone.

The pearl is the most popular according to jewelers.

I designed this month's Crochet Square to resemble

 a pearl in a silver setting.

It's a simple, yet elegant design.

I used The Redheart White Metallic Yarn to

 give it a little shine, and I really love the effect.

pearls come in several colors such a pink and grey.

And of course, you can make your squares in any colors

 of your choosing.

 that is inspired by the Birthstone of each month.

There is a written pattern with pictures, 

and a Brand New Video Tutorial.

Make at least 2 squares for each month.

When we finish all 12 squares we will be joining

 them into a blanket,

 but you can make whatever you would like.

 A Bag, A Scarf, a Hat, or Whatever.

Crochet Hook – H / 5.00mm
Yarn – Medium (4) Acrylic C1 - White, C2 – grey
Yarn Needle

Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Slip Stitch (slst)
Single Crochet (sc)
Double Crochet (dc)
Triple Stitch (tr)
Space (s)
Skip (sk)
Change to (chgto)
 
Size: 6 inches
 
Notes:
Ch1 does not count as a st
Ch3 counts as a dc
 
Pattern:
 
R: 1 – With c1, ch5, join in a circle, ch3,
11 dc in the circle,
Join to the ch3 with a slst, ch 3 (12 dc)

R: 2 – dc in the same st as the ch3,
 2 dc in each dc around,
Join to the ch3 with a slst, ch 3 (24 dc)

R: 3 – 1 dc in the next dc,

*2 dc in the next dc, 1 dc in the next 2dc*
Repeat From * to * around,
Join to the ch3 with a slst (32dc)

R: 4 – Chgto C2, slst, Ch3 between the next 2 dc,
2dc, ch2, 3 dc in the same sp as the ch3,
Ch2, sk 4 dc, 3 dc in the between the next 2 dc,
 
*Ch2, sk 4 dc, 3dc, ch2, 3 dc between the next 2 dc,
Ch2, sk 4 dc, 3 dc in the between the next 2 dc*
Repeat from * to * 2 more times,
Join to the ch3 with a slst, sl st in the next 2 dc,
 slst in the next ch2 sp, ch 3 (4 corners, ch2, 3dc, ch2)

R: 5 – 2 dc, ch2, 3 dc in the ch2 sp, ch1,
2Tr around the ch2 and in the sp between the 2nd and

 3rd dc of the previous row,
Ch1, sc in the 2^nd dc, ch 1

2Tr around the ch2 and in the sp between the 2nd and

 3rd dc of the previous row,

Ch1,
 
*3dc, ch2, 3dc in the next cg2 sp, ch1

2Tr around the ch2 and in the sp between the 2nd and

 3rd dc of the previous row,,
Ch1, sc in the 2^nd dc, ch 1

2Tr around the ch2 and in the sp between the 2nd and

 3rd dc of the previous row,

Ch1*
Repeat from * to * 2 more times,
Join to the ch3 with a slst, sl st in the next 2 dc,
 slst in the next ch2 sp, ch 1 

(4 corners, ch1, 2tr, ch1, sc, ch1, 2tr, ch1)

R: 6 – *2sc, ch1, 2sc in the ch1 sp,
 1 sc in each st and ch1 sp across*
Repeat from * to * 3 more times,
Join to the sc with a slst, tie off weave in your ends.

Remember, you do not have to block your squares. I choose too so they 

are crisp Squares in order to put them together more easily.
