The Halloween Sparkle Jester Hat is so cute and it totally 
🎃makes me laugh. I love silly hats like this one
And I love that it's all stitched up in sparkle
Halloween colors. It' makes it sort of fancy and silly hat.
But Really this hat is super easy and fun to stitch up.
It's great Halloween Costume or just a
fun hat to wear any time. How about, Skiing down a
mountain in Colorado wearing this cute hat!
"Happy Halloween!"
This guy is having so much fun,
and you will too.
I designed my Halloween Granny Jester Hat using
Herrschnerrs Sparkle Yarns called Halloween Party,
and Eggplant. I added some "floofy" pom poms,
using both yarns. I think it is adorable.
This fun hat will work for both the guys and girls,
And although I stitched mine up in Halloween
Sparkle yarns, you can use any medium (4)
Acrylic yarns you like.
You will have fun picking your yarn colors,
and stitching it up your hat, and adding pom poms,
and of course, so much fun wearing it.

Crochet Hook - H / 5 mm
Yarn - Med (4) C1 - Herrschners Sparkle Yarn - Halloween Party - 3.5 oz.
C2 - Herrschners Sparkle Yarn - Eggplant 2 oz.

Optional - Pom Pom Maker
2 Decorative Pumpkin Buttons
Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Slip stitch (slst)
Single crochet (sc)
Double Crochet (dc)
Skip (sk)
Space (sp)
Front post Double Crochet (DPDC)
Size: Fit 20 - 24 inch head (very stretchy)
Notes:
Ch 1 does not count as a st
Ch 3 Counts as dc
Pattern:
R: 1 - With C1, Ch 5, join in a circle,
ch3, dc in the circle, ch1
*2dc, ch1 in the circle*
Repeat From * to * for 4 more times,
Join to the ch3 with a slst, slst in the next dc,
Slst in the ch1 sp, ch3 (6 sets of 2 dc, ch1)
R: 2 - Dc, ch1, 2dc, ch1 in the 1st ch1 sp,
*2dc, ch1, 2dc, ch1 in the next ch1 sp*
Repeat From * to * for 4 more times,
Join to the ch3 with a slst, slst in the next dc,
Slst in the ch1 sp, ch3 (6 sets of 2 dc, ch1, 2 dc, ch1)
R: 3 - Dc, ch1, 2dc, ch1 in the 1st ch1 sp,
2 dc, ch1 in the next ch1 sp,
*2dc, ch1, 2dc, ch1 in the next ch1 sp,
2 dc, ch1 in the next ch1 sp*
Repeat From * to * for 4 more times,

R: 6 - R: 13 - Repeat R: 5 increasing every row. ch1 after R: 13
Sides of The Hat:
Fold in half, right side out, with the points of the hat up.
*Slst the sides together, stitching in the inside loops of the side*.
tie off, and weave in the ends.
*Slst the sides together, stitching in the outside loops of the side*.
tie off, and weave in the ends.
Join yarn to the top corner of the other side of the hat,
And repeat from* to* working down this side of the hat.
Hat Band: Tighten your tension a little on the hat band
R: 14 -Chgto C2 ch3, dc in each dc and in
each ch1 sp around the hat, join to the ch3 with a slst, ch3
R: 15 - *FPDC in the next dc, dc in the next dc*
Repeat from * to * around hat band, Join to the ch3, ch 3
R: 16 - Repeat R: 15, ch 1
R: 17 - Chgto C1, 1 sc in each dc around, Join to the 1 st sc,
tie off, weave in the ends.
Make 2 Pom poms, one for each point of the hat.
I like fluffy Poms poms with longer strands of yarn.
You could also but pom poms already made or make tassels.
Add some fun Halloween buttons.
