Skill: Easy

Materials:

 Crochet Hook – I / 5.50 Mm

Yarn – Worsted Weight yarn (4) Bernate Pop/ Mandala Ombre

Yarn Needle

Stitches:

Chain (ch)

Single crochet (sc)

Double crochet (dc)

Skip (sk)

 Space (sp)

Size: 7 inches across, 8 Inches tall, 18 inches around

Notes:

Ch 3 Counts as a dc

Ch4 Counts as a dc, ch1

Rounds ar joined to the ch 3 with a slst

R: 1 – Ch 5, join in a circle, ch3, 9 dc, join to ch 3, ch 3 (10dc)

R: 2 – Dc in the same st as the ch3, 2 dc in each dc around, join, ch3 (20dc)

R: 3 - Dc in the same st as the ch3, 2 dc in each dc around, join, ch3 (40dc)

R: 4 - Dc in the same st as the ch3, *1 dc in the next dc, 2 dc in next dc*,

Repeat From * to * around join, ch3 (60 dc)

R: 5 – 1 dc in each dc around, join, ch 4 (60dc)

R: 6 – 1 dc in the same st as the ch4, sk 2 dc,

*dc, ch1, dc in the next dc, sk 2 dc*

Repeat From * to * around,

 join to the 3^rd ch of the ch4, sl st in the 1^st ch1 sp, ch3 (20 V sts)

R: 7 – 2 dc in the same ch1 sp, * 3 dc in the next ch 1 sp*

Repeat From * to * around, join to ch3, slst in the next ch1 sp, ch 4 (20 Sh sts)

R: 8 – ch3 in the same ch1 sp, *dc, ch1 dc in the next ch1 sp*
Repeat From * to * around, join to the 3rd ch, sl in the 2nd dc, ch3 (20 V sts)

R: 9 - Repeat R: 7

R: 10 - R: 15 – Repeat R: 8 and R: 9 Alternating Rows

R: 16 – 1 dc in each dc around join, ch 1 (60 dc)

R: 17 – 1 sc in each dc around, join (60 sc)

R: 18 – Forming the handle, sc in the next 8 sc, turn, ch 1 (8 sc)

R: 19 – R: 38 – Repeat R: 18

Line up the handle evenly and slst in place, tie off weave in your ends.

I did notice that the Project Bag made with Bernate Pop is a bout an inch longer and wider.

So keep that in mind when making your bags. And remember To measure as you go.

Materials:

 Crochet Hook – K /6.50MM

Yarn – Bulky (5) Soft Essentials By Red Heart

                    C1- Greyhound, C2-Pink Peony

Yarn Needle

Stitches:

Chain (ch)

Slip Stitch (slst)

Single Crochet (sc)

Double Crochet (dc)

Change to (chgto)

Size: 10 X 10 inches not counting the handles

3 chs = 1 inch, 3 rows = 1 inch

Notes:

Ch1 does not count as a stitch

Ch3 Does Count as a stitch

Rounds are joined with a slipstitch

When changing colors, ch1 or ch3, after the color change

R: 1 – Starting at the bottom of the bag. With C1,

Ch 26, 1 sc in the 2^nd ch from the hook, 1 sc in each ch across, Turn, ch1. (25sc)

R: 2 – 1 sc in each sc across, turn,ch1. (25sc)

R: 3 – R: 4 –Repeat R: 2

R: 5 – 1 sc in each sc across, 

working across the end of the bottom of the bag,

place 4 sc across, sc across the next side, 

and place 4 sc across the next end of the bag,

join to the 1^st sc, ch1. (25 + 4 + 25 + 4 = 58sc)

R: 6 – 1 sc in each sc around the bag, join, ch 1. (58sc)

R: 7 – Repeat R: 6, do not ch1

R: 8 – Chgto C2, ch3, 1 dc in each sc around, join, ch3. (58dc)

R: 9 - 1 dc in each sc around, join, ch3. (58dc)

R: 10 – R: 18 – Repeat R: 9, Do not Ch3 after R: 18

R: 19 – Chgto C1, 1 sc in each dc, join, ch1 (58sc)

R: 20 – 1sc in each sc, join, ch1. (58sc)

R: 21 – 1sc in each sc, join, tie off weave in your ends. (58sc)

Handles:

R: 22 - Count in 6 sc from the side, attach C1 with a sc to the 6th st,

 1 sc in the next 4 sts, ch1 turn. (5sc)

R: 23 – 1 sc in each sc, ch1, turn. (5sc)

R: 24- R: 42 – Repeat R: 23, count back 6 sts from the other side of the bag

 and and attach the end of the handle with slsts, tie off and weave in your ends.

Repeat R: 22 – R: 42 for the 2^nd handle.

Pink Ribbon:

R: 1 - With C2, Ch 24, turn, Then in the 2nd ch from the hook,

1 sc, 1 sc in the next 9 chs, 2 sc in the next 3 chs, then 1 sc in the lst 10 sc,  (26 sc)

Chgto C1, sl st around the edges of the ribbon. Weave in the end.

 Attach Ribbon to the front of the Tote Bag with matching yarn.

Large enough to hold 2 skeins of yarn

 and few other things you may need.
