let's Have a little Fun!

What Happens when you pick up a Hook and Yarn?

1. You become a Crocheter - The moment
you pick up a Hook and Yarn you become a Crocheter,
Whether you are a beginner or expert.
It is now a part of who you are!

2. You become an Artist -
Mixing colors,  textures and  yarn weights creating
wonderful fiber masterpieces.

3. You become a Magician -
You take a stick and yarn, Mumble to your self.
and magically turn it into a something amazing,
and no one knows how you did it.

4. You also become a Member in a
world Wide group of Crocheters.
We speak our own language of Wips, Skips and Chains.
We understand each other's love of yarn, hooks,
and patterns. And we don't judge.

5. Lastly, you become a Collector,
Or Some would say a Hoarder --
How many Crochet Hooks do you own?
How much yarn to you own?
How many Patterns do you have saved or printed?
Yeah, I am not telling either!

How I Do " The Russian Join" For Changing Colors | Posh Pooch Designs

When I was learning to Crochet, I learned how to do this
method of joining for changing colors. I didn't know it
was called the " Russian Join Method" till many years
later. I Love it and use it anytime I can.
I mean who wouldn't want to weave in less ends?

See The Video on my Youtube Channel
at This LINK

So Here is how I do the Russian Join
1. Thread the 1st color onto your needle.
2. Turn and put your needle through the yarn,
and make a few stitches.
3. Pull the needle through and form a loop.
4. Thread the other color onto the needle,
put the needle through the loop.
5. Turn and put your needle through the yarn,
and make a few stitches.
Pull the needle through and form a another loop.
7. Gently pull the ends of the yarn.
7. And Pull till you have closed the loops
8. Now you can chain or stitch whatever pattern
you were working on. Snip off the ends of the yarn.
9. There is nothing to weave in!

Why does my Yarn Have a Knot and How can I fix it? | Posh Pooch Designs

"Why Does My Yarn Have A Knot
and How Can I Fix It?"

See This Video on my Youtube channel at This LINK

First lets talk about "Why yarn can have knots"?

Don't get upset or mad at the yarn company,
 because you have a knot.
Any Yarn, no matter the company,
will have a knot pop up occasionally.
It happens during the process of winding the yarns
 into skeins, balls or hanks.
The yarn is Wound off of large Spools,
and when the spool ends,
a knot is added to connect the next spool.

The knot is not intended to be permanent.

When a knot is needed, most yarn companies
add a few extra yards of yarn,
so you have enough to join properly
and to finish your project.

Now we have a knot, What do we do?

There several ways to join yarn.
And to me it really depends on the yarn and the project.

In the video I show you 2 ways That are my favorite.

1. Joining at the end of a row or round.
This works great for most projects but if you are not
at the end of a row or rounds, can waste a lot of yarn.

2. The Russian Join, works great for most yarns.
It is more difficult with cotton yarns, though.
Especially if you HATE weaving in the ends.

So if your yarn has a knot,
Do not panic or get mad!
