When I saw This Mandala Ombre Yarn Cake From

 Lion Brand Yarn.  I just

 had to have it, so I bought 2 of them.

I decided that it is perfect to design a new pumpkin

 crochet pattern. It stitched up so pretty.

 I love The way the colors move from

 pinks to oranges.

I Love That my pumpkin design is not the traditional 

style or even colors. It's fun and unusual.

Any medium (4) yarn will work for this pattern.

 There are many colorways  from Mandala yarn

 to Red Heart Ombres that would look so lovely

 with this pattern.

I am really looking forward to seeing your pumpkins,

Ombre Pumpkin Crochet Pattern

Skill: Easy
 
Materials:
Crochet Hook  - H / 5.00
Yarn – Mandala Ombre / Serene 1 cake – 5.3 oz.
Yarn needle
Stuffing – polyfiberfil
Harvest Floral pic / Stem of your choosing.

Ribbon of Choice
 
Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Single Crochet (sc)
Half Double Crochet (hdc)
Back Loop Only (blo)
 
Special Stitch:
2 Triple Crochet Cluster (2trcl) 
 *wrap yarn twice over hook, insert hook in the next st,
yo, pull the yarn through the 1st loop st, 
Yo, pull yarn through the next loop* leave the 2 loops on hook.
Repeat From * to *
 yo, pull the yarn through the 3 loops on the hook
 
Size: 10 T. X 20 W.  inches - fully stuffed

5 chs =1.5 inches

3 Rows = 1 inch

Multiples -5 + 7 chs
 
Notes:
Ch1 Does Not Count As a st
Every Row is Stitched in the BLO
 
Pattern:
 
R: 1 – Ch 32, sc in the 2^nd ch from the hook, turn, ch 1 (31 sc)

R: 2 – BLO, 1 sc in the 1^st 6 sc, *2trdc in the next sc, 1 sc in the next 4 sc*
Repeat From * to * 4 more times, ch 1, turn (26 sc, 5 2trcl = 31 sts)

R: 3 – BLO, 1 hdc in each st across, ch1, turn (31 sc)

R: 4 – BLO, *1 sc in the next 4 sc, *2trdc in the next sc*
Repeat From * to * 4 more times,
1 sc in the last 6 sc, ch 1, turn (26 sc, 5 2trcl = 31 sts)

R: 5 - BLO, 1 hdc in each st across, ch1, turn (31 sc)

R: 6 – Repeat R: 2

 
R: 7 – Repeat R: 3

Continue To Repeat R: 2- R: 3 – 20 more times

Place the ends of the pumpkin together, wrong side out.
Sc the sides together. Tie off and weave in ends.

Turn Right side out.

 The End with 6 sc is the bottom of the pumpkin.

Thread a 16 inch  tail of yarn onto the needle and gather the top closed,
Leave a small hole for placing the floral pick and tie securely.

Stuff the pumpkin, thread a 16 inch strand of yarn onto the needle and gather closed,

 the bottom of the pumpkin.

Add a ribbon to the floral pic,  bend the Floral pick and Slide it in the small 

opening on the top of the pumpkin. 
Add a spot of hot glue in the hole to keep the stem secured, if desired.

These Pumpkins are the cutest pumpkins.

They are designed using Twisted Cotton Blend Yarn 

by Lionbrand Yarn.

It's a Main color and a ecru twisted together in 

a thick and thin style yarn. I stitched them up using

 a J / 6.00 MM crochet hook. The yarn can be a little

 tricky at first, but once you get going, it quite easy.

I Picked some up when Hobby Lobby was having a

 clearance sale, and immediately thought "striped pumpkins". And this yarn was exactly what I was wanting it to be.

 It has a rustic yet classy quality.

If you do not have this yarn, 2 strands of Light (3) 

held together will work just fine.

I really, really love how my pumpkin design stitched up.

You can mix and match the colors, and stripe it 

how ever you like. or Just make it a solid pumpkins.

Yarn- Bulky (5) Twisted Cotton Blend / Lion brand 3 oz. / 90 yds. total
          C1 –Green/ ecru, C2 – orange/ ecru
Yarn needle
Stems - I used twigs from my yard
Stuffing – polyfiberfil
 
Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Slip Stitch (slst)
Double Crochet (dc)
Front Post Double Crochet (fpdc)
Double Crochet together (dctog)
Change to (chgto)

Size: 18 inches around X 6 inches tall
 
Notes:
Ch3 Counts as dc
Rounds are joined to the ch3 with a slst
When changing colors, ch3 after the color change
 
Pattern:

R: 1 – With C1, Ch5, join in a circle, ch3, 11 dc in the circle,

join, but do not close the hole tightly. 

we will ease the stem through that being opening. (12dc)
 

R: 2 – Chgto C2, ch3, dc in the same st as the ch3,
2 dc in each dc around, join. (24 dc)
 

R: 3 - Chgto C1, ch3, dc in the same st as the ch3,
2 dc in each dc around, join. (48 dc)
 

Do not worry if it seems a little ripply here, R: 4 will smooth it right out

R: 4 – Chgto to C2, Ch3, 1 dc in the next 2 dc,

With needle and tail of yarn gather closed the pumpkin.

Tie a bow around the stem with one of the matching yarns.

Fall is the time for Pumpkin everything!

I originally wanted to make toys for my pooches.

Then I saw them sitting on my table

 and thought they were adorable for fall decorating.

The Pattern has 3 sizes so you can  choose what size you want to make. Or make all three for a table decoration.

Than I decided to make a bigger one!

I used 15 Oz. of Bernat Blanket yarn and 

an N/10.00 MM Crochet Hook. And Bunch of Stuffing!

I Topped it with a stick from my yard, 

and some brown thick yarn for a bow. 

I Followed The Pattern For the Large Pumpkin.

It turned out huge and fabulous!

It measure 40 inches around.

3 Little Pumpkins Crochet Pattern By Sara Sach

Crochet Hook – I / 5. 50 MM

Yarn – Worsted Weight (4) Orange (2 oz.) Green (.5 oz.)

Yarn needle

Small amount of fiber fill
Small Stick for a stem - Optional

Stitches:

Chain (ch)

Single Crochet (sc)

Double Crochet (dc)

Slip Stitch (slst)

Together (tog)

Size: Small – 13 inches around, 3 inches tall

         Medium -15 inches around, 4 inches tall

         Large – 17 inches around, 5 inches tall

Notes:  Ch3 at beginning of round counts as

 the 1^st dc in that round.

Join each round to the ch3 at the beginning of each round.

S (M, L) -

R: 1 – - With orange yarn, ch 5, join in a circle, ch3,  

9dc in the circle, join, Ch3 (10dc)

R: 2 – 1 dc in the same st as the ch3, 2 dc in each st around,

 Join, ch 3. (20 dc)

R: 3 – *1 dc in the next dc, 2 dc in the next dc*

Repeat From * to * around, join and ch 3 (30 dc)

Skip to  R :  8   For Small

R: 4 - *1 dc in the next 2dc, 2 dc in the next dc*

Repeat From * to * around, join and ch 3 (40 dc)

R: 5 - *1 dc in the next 3dc, 2 dc in the next dc*

Repeat From * to * around, join and ch 3 (50 dc)

Skip to R : 8   For Medium

R: 6 -*1 dc in the next 4dc, 2 dc in the next dc*

Repeat From * to * around, join and ch 3 (60 dc)

R: 7 --*1 dc in the next 5dc, 2 dc in the next dc*

Repeat From * to * around, join and ch 3 (70 dc)

R: 8 – 1 dc in each dc, join, ch 3

(30, 50, 70 dc)

R: 9 – R : 11 – Repeat R: 8 for Small

R: 9 – R : 12 – Repeat R: 8 for Medium

R: 9 -R : 13 – Repeat R: 8 for Large

R: 14 – For All Sizes – 

*1 dc in the next dc, st tog the next 2 dc*

Repeat From * to * around, join, ch 3 (20, 40, 60 dc)

Gently stuff your pumpkin.

Repeat  R: 14 -

                          - 1 time for Small,

                          - 2 times for Medium,

                          - 3 times for Large.

Add more stuffing if needed.

Tie off leaving a 12 in tail of yarn.

Use that tail of yarn to gather closed the top

 of the pumpkin.

To Form the ridges. Thread a 24 inch piece of yarn

In your needle. Attach to the bottom center of the pumpkin.

Wrap the yarn, gently pulling to the top center of the pumpkin,

Make a stay stitch, then wrap the yarn to the bottom,

Then stitch another stay stitch.

Repeat 3 more times.

Place the stick in the hole, gently pushing it in.

 You can use glue if desired. I did not.

Then tie a bow around the stick.

Stem And Curl 

Curl and Stem – With green yarn, ch 13, 3hdc in the 1^st ch and in each of next 11 chs,

Then ch 5, turn and slst back down the ch to form the stem.

Tie off leaving an 8 inch tail of yarn for sewing on top of Pumpkin.
