(ch3, 1sh st, 1dc)

The Shell Stitch forms a natural button hole, so there is no need to make one,
Just tie off and weave in your end.

Sew the button on the opposite end of he collar with matching yarn.
R : 1 - With first color, Ch 3, 8sc in the send ch from the hook, join (8sc)

R : 2 - In each sc,  (1 sc, 3 dc ,1sc) for 8 petals.

R : 3 - Ch 2, attach to the center back of the first petal with a sl st,ch2,
repeat on the remaining 7 petal backs, join

R : 5 - In each ch 2 space, ( Ch2, 3 dc, ch2) for the 8 back petals, tie off, weave in your ends, and attach to collar by sewing with matching yarn.

Same Shell Stitch collar,
But I added a Butterfly instead of the Flower.

I got this wonderful crochet Simple Butterfly from
The  "Crocheted Sass" Blog
Only I modified it by putting and addition row of sc
around the wings. I also chain 10, for the body and
wrapped it around to attach it to the back.
With the chain, it could be used as a collar slide as well.
