Little Angel Applique Crochet Pattern

Skill: Easy

Materials:

Crochet hook - H / 5.00 MM

Yarn - Any med (4) I used Acrylic

Decorative Button

Yarn Needle

Stitches:

Chain (ch)

Slip Stitch (slst)

Double Crochet (dc)

Size: 2. 5 X 22.5 Inches

Pattern:

R: 1 - Ch 5, join in a circle, Stitch All of R: 1 in the ch 5 circle -

*ch3, 2dc, ch3*

Repeat From * to * 2 More times,

Ch3, 3 dc, turn, ch 3
(wing, head, wing, body)

R: 2 - 1 dc in the same st as the ch3,

 1 dc in next 2 dc, 2 dc in last dc, turn, ch 1 (6dc)

R: 3 - *ch 3, slst in the next dc*

Repeat From * to * 4 More times, tie off weave in your ends.

Sew button in the center of the Angel, between the wings. 

Add a Hanger if you wish to hang it.

The Baby Scratch Mittens are designed to keep baby from

 Scratching their face and body.

Those precious little fingernails are sharp.

 These little mittens will look sweet and keep baby safe
 from scratches.

Pattern 4 - Baby Week

The Mittens are designed to fit a Newborn to 3 Months.

Keep in mind all newborns are different in size

 and yarn is stretchy.

If a smaller or larger mitten is needed you can go up or 

down in your hook sizes to get a nice fit.

Baby Scratch Mittens Crochet Pattern

Skill: Easy

Materials:

Crochet hook – H/ 5.00 MM

Yarn – Med (4) Acrylic – I used Caron baby Cakes (about an oz. will get you 2 mittens)

Yarn Needle

Stitch marker

Stitches:

Chain (ch)

Single Crochet (sc)

Half Double Crochet (hdc)

Front Post Double Crochet (fpdc)

Size:

Newborn- 3 month

4.5 tall X 4.5 around inches

To make the mitt;s smaller go down a hook size.
To make the mitts Larger go up a hook size.

Notes:

The Mitten is stitched in round, no joining until you reach the cuff.

Ch 2 counts as a hdc

Pattern:

R: 1 – Ch 3, 10 sc in the 2^nd ch ch from the hook. (10 sc)
Use Your Stitch Marker to make each row.

R: 2 – 2 sc in each sc. (20 sc)

R: 3 – 1 sc in each sc. (20 sc)

R: 4 – 12 – Repeat R: 3

R: 13 – slst in the 1^st sc, ch 2, 1 hdc in each sc,

and the slst, join to the ch 1 (20 hdc)

R: 14 – Sc in the 1^st hdc, fpdc in the next hdc,

*sc in the next hdc, fpdc in the hdc*

Repeat From * to * Around, join, ch 1 (20 sts)

R: 15 –*Sc in the next sc, fpdc in the fpdc*

Repeat From * To * Around, join to the sc, and tie off (20 sts)

Tie – 

Ch 30, tie off, knot and trim both ends.

Attach to front of mitten and tie a bow.

Yarn – Med (4) 1 oz to 2 oz. depending on size

              I used Red Heart Bunches of Hugs Baby Yarn/ 

              Sweet Roll Frostie - lemonaede

Yarn Needle

Stitches:

Chain (ch)

Single Crochet (sc)

Double Crochet (dc)

Size: (Preemie, Newborn, 3 Months)

Preemie – 10 inches / length - 4 Inches

New Born – 12 Inches / Length – 5 Inches

3 Months – 14 inches / Length – 6 Inches

Notes:

Ch 3 Counts as a dc

Rounds are joined to the ch 3

Pattern Hat: 
Demo is 3 Months Size

R: 1 -Ch 4, 9 dc in the 4^th ch from the hook, join, ch 3 (8, 10, 12 dc)

R: 2 – 1 dc in the same st as the ch3, 
2 dc in each dc around, join, ch 3 (16, 20, 24 dc)

R: 3 - *2 dc in the next dc, 1 dc in the next dc*

Repeat From * to * around, join, ch 3 (24, 30, 36dc)

R: 4 - 1 dc in the next dc,* 1 dc in the next 2dc, 2 dc in the next dc*

Repeat From * to * around, join, ch 3 (32, 40, 48 dc)

R: 5 – 1 dc in each dc around, join, ch 3 (32, 40, 48 dc)

R: 6 – R: 7– Repeat R: 5

Newborn skip to R: 10

R: 8 – Repeat R: 5

New Born skip to R: 10

R: 9 – Repeat R: 5

R: 10 – All 3 Sizes -Ch1 after the last repeat of R: 5 -
 1 sc in each dc around, join, tie off

Ears make 2 – Same For All 3 Sizes -

Ch 4, 9 dc in the 4^th ch from the hook, join, tie off leaving a 12 inch tail of yarn.

 Place sew ears on the hat securely.
