Little Pumpkins Fall Table Runner

Just Like I promised!
And I Love it!
I Put it on my coffee table in my living room,
with a few other Fall decorations.
You can Make this runner with any 6 inch afghan square.
By changing the colors and squares, a Table runner 
could be made for every Season and Holiday.
We just updated this pattern and 
Added a matching placemat crochet pattern.

Skill: Easy

Materials:
Crochet Hook I
Yarn -Worsted Weight Yarn (4) 3.5 oz. Skein of each Color, 
I used Red Heart Super Saver
Orange, Sage Green, Yellow, Brown

 Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Single Crochet (sc)
Double Crochet (dc)
Triple Crochet (tr)
Slip Stitch (slst)
Skip (sk)

Size: 60 X 14 inches

Body of the Runner: Repeat is 10 chs + 1
R : 1 – With green yarn, Ch 151 for Table Runner, (Ch 41 For Placemat).
Starting in the 2nd ch from the hook, 
placing 1 st in each ch across –
*sc, sc, dc, dc, tr, tr, dc, dc, sc, sc* 
Repeat from * to * 14 times for 15 wave patterns.
Ch1 turn (does not count as a st) (150 sts, 15 wave patterns)

R : 2 – 1 tr in the 1st 2 sts, *ch3, sk 3 sts, 1 sc in the next 2 sts, ch3, sk 3,
 1 tr in the next 2 sts*
Repeat From * to * across Row.

Note: The 2 tr sts should be stitched in the 2 sc of previous row, 
and the 2 sc should be stitched in the 2 tr of previous row...

R : 3 – Change to orange yarn – *sc, sc, dc, dc, tr, tr, dc, dc, sc, sc*
 Repeat from * to * 14 times for 15 wave patterns. 
  Ch1, turn, (does not count as a st), (150 sts, 15 wave patterns)

R : 4 – Repeat R : 2

R : 5 – Change to Yellow yarn, Repeat R : 3

R : 6 – Repeat R : 2

R : 7 – Change to Brown yarn, Repeat R : 3

R : 8 – Repeat R : 2

R : 9 – R : 18 – Repeat R : 3 - R : 8 (green, orange, yellow, brown)

R : 19 – R : 22 – Repeat R : 1 – 4 (green, orange)

R : 23 – Repeat R : 3 – Yellow tie off, weave in your ends.

Joining the Squares:
Place to of the Squares together, making sure your stem is to the top, 
with wrong side together.
With yellow yarn, st 2 sc in the 1st corner, ch1, 
2 sc in the 1st corner of the other square,
Ch1, 2 sc in the nest ch1 space of the 1st square, ch1,
 2 sc in the next ch1 space of the 2nd square.
Continue to ch1, 2 sc in each ch1 space across,
 and in the 2 corners.  SEE Pic, tie off.
Repeat with the other 2 squares.


Attaching the Squares to the ends of the Table Runner –
With yellow yarn, evenly st 48sc across edge of runner. Do not tie off,
 Place the 2 Square section, right sides out, to the edge of the runner.
2 sc in the 1st corner, sk 3 sts, 2 sc in the next sc on the edge of the runner, 
ch1, 2 sc in the next ch1 space, Repeat across row, ( See pic)
  tie off, weave in your ends.




Finishing up: Edging
Attach yellow yarn to the 1st corner, 3 sc in that corner, 
1 sc in each st and ch down the first side,
3 sc in the next corner, Repeat on all side, 
join to the 1st sc, and tie off. Weave in ends.


To Block – Blocking is not necessary, but it can give it a nice crisp look.

Dampen the table runner, and lay out flat on a towel.
I like to lay my large projects out on my deck to air dry.
