Small Dog Shrug Crochet Pattern

I have had quite a few people asking me to design a
Small Dog Shrug.
I had it finished, and set it aside. I actually forgot about it.
I was going through one of my pattern notebooks
and found it!

So here it us:
Skill : Easy

Materials:
Hook - H / 5.00MM
Yarn - Any Worsted Weight yarn - I used Red heart Super saver - Baby pink
Tape Measure

Stitches:
Chain  (ch)
Slip Stitch  (sl st)
Single Crochet ( sc)

Gauge: 3 chs = 1 inch

The First thing you need to do is measure your dog
from elbow to elbow,  around the back.
Measure loosely for a comfy fit.

R : 1  - Ch 51, sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, and in each ch across. ( 50 sc)

This pattern is based on Rosie's measurement of  18 inches.
If your dog's measurement is larger or smaller then Rosie's,
you will need to add or subtract chs for your dog's measurement.

R : 2  - Ch 1 , does not count as a st, working in the back loops,
1 sc in the next 6 sc, *ch3, skip the next st,
sl st in next st, * repeat across row till only 6 sc are left un-worked,
working in the back loops, 1 sc each of the last 6 sc, ch 1 turn.
 ( 12 sc, 22 ch3 loops)

R : 3 - 1 sc in the 1st 6 sc BLO, slst in the next ch3 sp,
*ch3, slst in the next ch3 sp* Repeat From * to * across row to the last 6 sc.
1 sc in the last 6 sc, BLO, ch1, turn

R;4 -16  - Repeat R: 3 ( 12 sc, 22 ch 3 loops)

R : 17  - ch1, 6 sc, *2 sc in each ch3 loop space, Repeat across,
1 sc in each of the last 6 sc, tie off, weave in your end.

If you are making this for a larger dog,
you may want to add more rows to make it longer.

Finishing -
Fold the Shrug in half, Right side out. Lining up the both ends,
and slip st them closed, to form the sleeves.

I Like to use the beginning ch edge as the back, but its up to you which side if the back.

This is perfect little shrug to add to a
party dress, pageant dress or just for fun!
Rosie loves her little shrug and I hope you do too.
