Football Coaster Free Crochet Pattern

Super Easy Crochet Pattern!
 It has the edge or lip  to keep your Coffee or
 what ever you are drinking while watching the Football game, 
From sliding off the coaster.

You could whip up a bunch of these for Football parties!
And make them in your favorite team colors!
Then Your guests could each take one home!

Football Coaster Crochet Pattern

Skill: Easy

Size:  6 X 3 Inches

Materials -
Hook - H / 5.00 MM
Yarn - Any Worsted Weight Yarn (4)
I used brown  Red heart Super Saver, less than an oz.
Small amount of Cream WW for the football stitches
Yarn Needle

Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Slip Stitch (sl st)
Single Crochet (sc)
Half Double Crochet (hdc)
Double Crochet (dc)
Back loop only  (blo)
Front loop only ( flo)

Note:
Ch3 counts as 1st dc in each round.
Rows are joined with a slt to the ch3

R: 1 - With brown yarn, Ch 5, 9 dc in the 4th ch from the hook, join, ch3
(10dc)

R : 2 - 1 dc in the same st as ch3, 2 dc in each st around, join, ch 3
(20dc)

R : 3 - 1 dc in the same st as ch3,  2 dc in each st around. join ch1
(40dc)

R : 4 - FLO, 1 dc in each st around join,ch3
(40dc)

This makes a nice edge for the Mug to stay in place on the coaster.

R : 5 - Working in the blo of R : 3, 1 slst in the next 3 st, 
*1 sc in the next 2 sts, 1 hdc in the next 2 sts, 1 dc in the next 2 sts,
3dc in the next st, 1 dc in the next 2 sts, 1 hdc in the next 2 sts,
1 sc in the next 2 sts* 
 1 sl st in the next 7 sts, 
Then Repeat From * to *
1 slst in the last 4 sts, join to the 1st  slst, cut yarn and weave in ends.

Thread a 18 inch piece of cream yarn on the needle.
Sew a stripe on the front of R :4 with straight stitches.
Then Sew the Seam and Stitches onto the center of the ball.

Now put your favorite beverage
 on it and enjoy the Game!

Good evening Sarah just to let you know your written pattern calls for row 4 to be DC in flo not single like your video that you should know. Have a wonderful evening
