Crochet (dc)
Skip (sk)
Size: 9 inches
Notes:
Chain 3
Counts as a Double Crochet
Chain 1 does
not count as a Single Crochet
Join to ch3
with a Slip Stitch
R: 1 – Ch 5,
join in a circle, ch3, 9 dc in the ch 5 circle,
Join to ch
3, ch3 (10dc)
R: 2 – 1 dc
in the same st as the ch3, 2 dc in each dc around, join, ch3 (20 dc)
R: 3 – *2 dc
in the next dc, 1 dc in the next dc*
Repeat From
* to * Around, Ch 3,
DO NOT JOIN, TURN. (30dc)
R: 4 - 1 dc in the same st as the ch3,

in the 1st dc, *sk 2 dc, 5 dc in the next dc,

1 sc in the next 4 dc, sk next 3 sc, 8 dc in the next dc,
sk next 3 dc, sc in the next dc.Evenly sc to the center of the chicken, ch 12,
join to previous sc with a slst,
sc up the
other side, tie off, weave in your ends.
R: 8 – Join 2nd
color to the sc of the tail or back the chicken.
*1 sc in the
1st 2 dc, 2 dc in the next dc, 1 dc in the next 2 dc,
1 sc in the
next sc stitching below the sc* (sometimes called a long single crochet)
Repeat From
* to * 7 more times. I sc in that last sc, Tie off.
Chicken Head
Join red
yarn to the 1 sc in the next 4 sc, tie off
Beak: Join
yellow yarn to the 1st dc of the head, ch 4,
slst in the 2nd
ch, sc in the next 2 chs,
Join to the
2nd dc, tie off
Join Red
Yarn to the dc after the beak, 2 sc in the 1st dc, 1 dc in the next
dc,
2 dc in the next dc, 1 dc in the next 4 dc, tie off.
With Brown
Yarn, stitch on eye with 2 short stitches.
And That is how easy it is to crochet
