Fair Isle Shoulder Bag Crochet Pattern
Skill: Easy
Materials:
Crochet Hook
– I / 5.50MM
Yarn -
Worsted Weight (4) 3 oz.
I used Red Heart Super Saver Fair
Isle- Parrot
2 D Rings –
1 inch
1 Button –
1.5 inch
Yarn Needle
Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Slip Stich
(slst)
Single
Crochet (sc)
Double
Crochet (dc)
Front Post
Double Crochet (fpdc)
Size: 8 X 8 inch, plus straps
Notes:
Ch3 Counts
as a dc
Rounds are
joined with a slst to the ch3
Pattern:
R: 1 – Ch 26, 2 dc in the 4th ch from the hook,
1 dc in the next
22 chs, 2 chs in the next st,
Turn working
down the opposite side of the ch,
2 dc in the
1st ch, 1 dc in the next 22 chs, 2 dc in the last st,
Join to the
ch3, ch3 (26 + 26 = 52 dc)
Stitch count remains the same for each row of the bag (52sts)

Button Tab: Join yarn to the top
back center of the bag,
ch 12, slst in the 8th ch, slst in
the last 6 chains,
tie off weave in the ends.
Center
Button on the front of the bag, and sew in place.
D Rings:
Thread a
Needle with a 12 inch piece of matching yarn.
Sew D Ring
in place at the top edge of the purse, with the flat side down,
And Sew in
place. Repeat on the other side.
Handles:
With 3
strands of yarn together, ch 80,
tie off ends
leaving 12 inch tails of yarn and set aside.
Slide the
handle Through the D Rings, and tie together.
Add a Tassel
if you like.
