The Fair Isle is not the traditional Knit style we are used to seeing. This Bag is called The " Fair Isle Bag" Because it is designed using The

New Red Heart Super Saver Yarn - Fair Isle .

 The color I used is called Parrot.

The Beige Bag is made from the same pattern, of course, 
but I used a solid in the Video so it would be easier to
 see the texture of the Stitches.

Skill: Easy

Materials:

Crochet Hook – I / 5.50MM

Yarn - Worsted Weight (4) 3 oz.

            I used Red Heart Super Saver Fair Isle- Parrot

2 D Rings – 1 inch

1 Button – 1.5 inch

Yarn Needle

Stitches:

Chain (ch)

Slip Stich (slst)

Single Crochet (sc)

Double Crochet (dc)

Front Post Double Crochet (fpdc)

Size: 8 X 8 inch, plus straps

Notes:

Ch3 Counts as a dc

Rounds are joined with a slst to the ch3

Pattern:

R: 1 – Ch 26, 2 dc in the 4^th ch from the hook,

1 dc in the next 22 chs, 2 chs in the next st,

Turn working down the opposite side of the ch,

2 dc in the 1^st ch, 1 dc in the next 22 chs, 2 dc in the last st,

Join to the ch3, ch3 (26 + 26 = 52 dc)

Stitch count  remains the same for each row of  the bag (52sts)

R: 2 – (Ch3 counts as a dc) 1dc in the next dc,

* 1 fpdc in the next 2 dc, 1 dc in the next 2 dc*

Repeat From * to * around, join, ch 3 (52sts)

R: 3 – R: 4 – Repeat R: 2

R: 5 - (Ch3 counts as a fdc) 1fdc in the next dc,

* 1 dc in the next 2 dc, 1 fpdc in the next 2 dc*

Repeat From * to * around, join, ch 3 (52sts)

R: 6 – R: 7 – Repeat R: 5

R: 8- R: 10 – Repeat R: 2

R: 11 – R: 13 – Repeat R: 5

     Ch1 After R: 13

R: 14 – 1 sc in each st round, join, ch 1 (52 sc)

R: 15 – R: 17 – Repeat R: 14, 

tie off weave in your ends after R: 17

Button Tab: Join yarn to the top back center of the bag,

ch 12, slst in the 8^th ch, slst in the last 6 chains, 

tie off weave in the ends.

Center Button on the front of the bag, and sew in place.

D Rings:

Thread a Needle with a 12 inch piece of matching yarn.

Sew D Ring in place at the top edge of the purse, with the flat side down,

And Sew in place. Repeat on the other side.

Handles:

With 3 strands of yarn together, ch 80,

tie off ends leaving 12 inch tails of yarn and set aside.

Slide the handle Through the D Rings, and tie together.

Add a Tassel if you like.
