Materials:

Crochet Hook – I / 5.5 MM

Yarn – Worsted Weight (4) Green Variegated –C1,

              Orange –C2, Blue-C3, Brown-C4, White –C5

Yarn Needle

Stitches:

Chain (ch)

Slip Stitch (slst)

 Single Crochet (sc)

Half Double Crochet (hdc)

 Double Crochet (dc)

Back Loop Only (blo)

Change color to (chgto)

Size: 5 inches tall, Fits a Soda Can

Notes:

Rounds are joined with a Slip Stitch.

Ch3 counts as a dc

Ch2 Counts as hdc

Ch1 counts as sc

R: 1 – With C1, Ch4, (1^st 3 chs count as 1^st dc) 9 dc in the 2^nd ch from the hook, join (10dc)

R: 2 – Ch3, 1 dc in the same st as ch3, 2 dc in each dc around, join, (20dc)

R: 3 – Ch3, Working in the blo, 1 dc in each dc around, join. (20dc)

R: 4 – R: 5 - Ch3, 1 dc in each dc around, join. (20dc)

R: 6 – Chgto C2, ch1, 1 sc in eac dc around, join. (20sc)

R: 7 – Chgto C3 – ch2, 1 hdc in each sc around, join. (20hdc)

R: 8 – Chgto C2, ch1, 1 sc in each hdc around, join. (20sc)

R: 9 – Chgto to C1, ch3, 1 dc in each sc around, join. (20dc)

R: 10  – 1 dc in each dc, join, (20dc)

R: 11 – Repeat R: 10. Tie off weave in your ends.

Football Applique: (3.5 X 2.5 inchs)

R: 1 – ch 4, (1^st ch3 counts as 1srt dc) 9 dc in the 2^nd ch from the hook, join. (10dc)

R: 2 – *1 sc in the next dc, 1hdc in the next dc, 3 dc in the next dc, 1 hdc in the next dc, 1 sc in the next dc* Repeat From * to * 1 more time, join, tie off leaving a 12 in tail of yarn for sewing onto the can cozy.

(*sc, hdc, 3dc, hdc, sc* Repeat)

With C5, Embroider on the white football stitching.
