Loveland Headband Crochet Pattern

The Loveland Headband is designed to match the Loveland Triangle Cowl.
After I stitched up the cowl I had enough yarn left to make this matching headband, and you know I love to wear headbands!

Crochet Hook – H/ 5.0MM
Yarn – Worsted weight (3) 2 oz.

Yarn Needle
Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Single Crochet (sc)
Double Crochet (dc)
Space (sp)
Skip (sk)
Foundation Double Crochet (fdc)
Back loop Only (blo)
Back loop Only (blo)
Size: Fits a 19-20 inch head (Youth to Adult)
Easily adjustable - 4 ch = 1 inch, 1 row = 1 inch
Notes:
Ch3 Counts as a dc
ch1 does not count as a st.
Join with a slst
R: 1 – Starting at the Band Portion - Ch 6, 1 sc in the 2nd ch
from the hook,
and in each ch across, turn, ch1 (5sc)
R: 2 - Blo, 1 sc in each sc, turn, ch 1( 5sc)
R: 3 - R: 66 - Repeat R: 2
To make headband small or bigger add or subtract
rows in 2 row increments.
Put the ends of the band together and sc together the ends.
R: 67 – We will be stitching across the top of
the band, ch3
Place 1 dc in the end of each row around, join,
(66 dc)
R: 68 – Ch3, 1 dc in the next dc, *ch2, sk 2 dc,
1dc in the next 2 dc*
Repeat From * to * around, join, (66sts)
R: 69 – Slst to the 1st ch2 sp, ch3,
1 dc in that same sp, *ch2, 2 dc in the next ch2 sp*
Repeat From * to * around, join (66sts)
R: 70 – R: 71 – Repeat R: 69
If you want the headband wider, continue to Repeat
R: 69.
R: 72 – Ch3, 1 dc in the next st, 1 dc in each ch2
sp and dc around, join. (66dc)
R: 73 – Ch3, *fpdc in the next dc, 1 dc in the
next dc*
Repeat From * to * around, join, tie off, weave
in your ends.
And That is it!
