This hat is the perfect hat for both boy and girls.

Yarn - Med. (4) 2 - 3 oz. Depending on size - cotton yarn (C1)
1/2 ball 2
other cotton yarns (C2, C3)

cotton yarn will work)

- For weaving in ends.

Chain (ch)
Slip

Sizes: Approximate Sizes
Small /Infant – 11/12 Inches
Medium /Toddler13 /14
Inches
Large/Child -15/16
inches
Gauge - 3 dc =
1 inch
Notes –
Ch 3 at ends of rows counts as a stitch unless
otherwise stated.
When
Changing colors, Ch2, or Ch3 after the color Change.
R: 1 - With C1, Ch 5, join in a circle, ch3, 9 dc, join, ch3 (10 dc)
R: 2 – 1 dc in the same st as the ch3, 1 dc in the next dc, 2 dc in
each dc around,
join, ch 3 (20 dc)
R: 3 - 1 dc in the same st as the ch3, 2 dc in each dc around
join, ch 3 (40 dc)
For Small - Skip To R: 6
R: 4 - *2 dc in the next dc, 1 dc in the next 1 dc*,
Repeat from * to * around,
join, ch 3 (60 dc)
For Medium - Skip To R: 6
